how would you feel if dead ringer let you phase through enemy players during the first couple seconds of activation?
I'd rather make that into an entirely different watch than plaster it on a watch that's fine as it is.

So as someone who really never was excited for the comp, is it now at least worth trying?
It uses Glicko now, and the pregame abandon issue may have been fixed in yesterday's update. It's worth a try, don't quit if you get a Turbine game though, just try to bear it until you can get in a normal map.
I don't think the Source engine would even allow for that. After all, that's why Telefrags work the way they do.

Am I missing something? I don't recall Sentry busters ever being able to phase through human players.
Comp queue times seem to take roughly 5-10min now

You can't bodyblock a sentrybuster, they just walk through you.

Also, does anyone here have history in TF2 server development and management? I'm having trouble getting my server to work the way I want it too.
Yesterday's update left debug messages when players are healed according to a reply to the update's hlds email, seems like the update removes it. Also in the replies to yesterday's update the last stages on three-stage payload maps are broken.
I think there are certain users which for some reason cannot find any competitive games whatsoever.
I dont know if Glicko bugged out and gave them some kind of super number which it cannot understand, however as an example weve got a scro who literally can play comp just fine solo, gets a game in like 5 minutes, however whenever he parties up with us, we literally are unable to find a comp game for some fucking reason
so yeah, weird anomalies

Ain't fixed yet. I've only seen this triggered by official servers. Once you load the custom sprites, then visit a map without them, then load the sprites again, they'll break. Refreshing textures with a command like mat_specular 0/1 will fix it.
My mmr increased by 0 after all these matches

Jill explained that it has something to do with playing vs people who have not finished their calibrations and the uncertainty of the match. I'm willing to bet if it was using Elo instead of Glyco all thous games would be +5 or something.
From my head I can pick out Rajikaru and Mort Stroodle, there were definitely more tho.
disguises are useless 98% of the time, just b-hop and use the scout disguise when you aren't cloaked/in cover
I just not figured out that (presumably with the start of Blue Moon) there are now killstreak kits for the Hot Hand and Dragon's Fury. That's really cool, but given that we're still lacking strange iterations I don't really see the point. The Hot Hand is only available in a non-tradable contract reward form as well. This is a solid Valve/10 development.
They probably don't want a Dragon Slayer strangifier because it would make it easier to get strange skins, like with the Air Strike Strangifier. Maybe they could make all Dragon Slayer skins earned before the campaign ended strange? Then versions got with the permanent pass wouldn't be strange.
People get at most 2 dragon's furies since there is no crafting recipe that can output it (not even rolling for pyro primaries) and it isn't in the drop system.
I don't think it's the end of the world if a dragon's fury strangifier existed since the supply would be restricted to vanilla and dragon slayers exclusively.
I'm confused/interested, how would it make getting strange skins easier?
Also, I never really got an answer a while ago, but does that change mean my Quack Canvas Air Strike is worth something more than a few refined?
You cannot use Air Strike Strangifiers on reskinned Air Strikes. Valve patched that in around Smissmass time after a few clever users (cough cough Ghostlier) used strange air strike reskins to trade up to normally unobtanium strange War Paints.
It makes it easier because otherwise strangeness is randomly assigned to unboxed skinned weapons, I was thinking more of the war paint itself being strange since it can be applied to stock weapons as well as the DF. DF-exclusive strangifier would be fine.
Also it should make it more valuable, since before with the Air Strike strangifier strange painted Air Strikes would probably be the the cheapest of all painted weapons as long as strangifiers for it were still buyable.
Yeah in those 5 hours in which we queued for comp every game took like 1-6 minutes to find.
