can Valve add Peer-to-Peer connections to TF2 so i won't have to use hamachi thx
i just had an update, but im not seeing any patchnotes anywhere
bank rolled is the best weapon skin, no lie
I'm just writing this here, because I can't see the newest posts. OT: I just saw my brother airshot an invisible Spy. Holy shit that was impressive.
Is anyone else not able to use mods.tf? Every time I try to sign in to download something, it gives me a 500 error and doesn't accept my login credentials. I don't remember seeing any news on downtime or lack of service, but maybe I missed something.Or maybe it's just something obscure on my end.
Coffin Nail*
Top Shelf. Real answer: skin is irrelevant. Is it Energy Orb? Is it Strange? We're done here.
I personally don't like unusual weapons, ruins the skin imo.
I wonder if the game takes longer to find games when queuing with a party because it has to also calculate the other player's stats or taking too long to find another party in a server the same number as your's.
Something i don't uderstand: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185890/8b28d4c7-c809-4021-830c-5b9547986003/Screenshot_20180414-133136.jpg How can the bots (also other bots) send me this when i accept their trade offer? They're not in my friend list so they can't send me messages. Also, this is only visible on my smartphone through the notification panel.
Geel man hacker your personal information, he might be Zucc in disguise.
Apparently we were in the same match. fdg is a well known cheater in valve comp. He's been griefing/cheating since stress tests era.
how do you guys feel about the ambassador nerf?
Definitely over-nerfed. It should've been fall-off or a headshot range limit, not both. Removing the latter will at least revive the weapon's fun aspect, to return to a more reasonable Revolver sidegrade I think a change to its headshot falloff range is necessary- nothing too crazy, just 1.5x (fall-off-starting at ~700 HU instead of ~500 HU) or 2x (fall-off starting at ~1000 HU) would do the trick. 'Course, this is the experienced Spy main speaking. Other people are likely to disagree.
It's disgusting the ambassador is in its current state while the diamond back which is x1000 easier to use is left untouched. They nerfed the wrong weapon
the spy occasionally being able to do ranged burst damage with a high skill requirement is WAY worse than the spy being able to kill anything in less than two seconds at pretty much any range with little skill requirement 😩
Stored crits in general are some of the worst mechanics in the game. Spy makes things worse because you can't even see if he's storing crits in the first place, then layer on top of that how easy it is to rack up crits in the first place. Then some poor sod has to face the business end of a crit because his teammate made a mistake 60 seconds ago. Frontier Justice is in a similar disgusting state but its downside is at least crippling enough to justify it, on top of the fact that he can't just hide forever, teleport behind you and unsheathe crits saying "Nothin personal, pardner." The Diamondback doesn't even have a niche to fit into. Its original iteration was to feed you crits for sapped buildings destroyed (whether directly or by assist), but that was extremely specific and was worthless if no Engineers were around. While the Deus Ex Diamondback sported Explosive Rounds and a Laser Sight (judging by the TF2 appearance), the high burst damage fits the gun but at the same time it's trying to map a PvE mechanic into a PvP setting. Ambassador already functioned as a makeshift anti-Engineer gun and the current Enforcer acts as an anti-Wrangler gun so reverting it to this form won't really be doing much good. Then for some reason they decided that Spy should get crits for existing. It's a baffling decision that I don't think anyone has yet to make an actual justification for. No one liked getting sniped, but the Diamondback took the long-range difficulty of Ambassador and gave you a whole-body target to plink away at, plus you can see their health so you can decide if it's worth spending crits to take them down or save them for someone else. They hit the nail on the head when the Big Earner received its buff -- a temporary reward for doing your job properly that can be used to do more of your job or to get away: this is the diamondback that most people would greatly prefer. Honestly I'd prefer if it just gave a temporary minicrit boost and be done with it, but I'm sure people would complain about it being overnerfed in that state since a minicrit only deals in the range of 50-70 damage depending on range. I'd be willing to accept crits being stored for 5 seconds after a backstab, with successive backstabs resetting the store timer -- after the timer expires the crits go away. Do away with the sapper hooha and focus on the stab-and-shoot concept and work from there. Honestly I don't know what I want out of the Ambassador. On one hand it's a nuisance to be on the receiving end of due to the Spy's innate ability to get behind and shoot from odd vantage points due to cloak and being able to pick which fights he wants to engage in by seeing enemy health. On the other hand it under-rewards the mechanical depth the gun had. I really detest the concept of crits having falloff as that means you can't even know exactly how much damage you'll be doing unless you're sitting at a sweetspot range where the damage is either maxed out or bottomed out; that consistency is important when deciding whether to blow your cover or not. I'd like to entertain the idea of giving the Ambassador minicrits on-headshot, but also making its damage penalty only apply when hitting a body (maybe even giving it an innate damage bonus that only applies when headshotting, similar to Axtinguisher). In this way, it'd buff the close-range headshot damage to be comparable to a revolver crit, but the effectiveness would fall off until your damage is roughly 50 per headshot (remember that minicrits have a minimum damage that ignores falloff but gains benefits from rampup). Silly enough, this would make a critting headshot deal almost 270 damage (for a minicrit headshot to deal 120 damage, the non-crit damage would need to be 89), but that'd only be possible with forced crits like Kritzkrieg...I don't know how I feel about that being a viable Kritzkrieg target, especially since it cannot be dodged like a crocket can be, it could have crits turn into minicrits like the Cow Mangler has to remedy that.
If you manage to get a demo on this in action, I'll report it.
I wonder why tf2mods.net went down. Even if few people used it, it would've been nice to still have access to the mods.
"Even if few people used it" There's your answer, keeping a site alive isn't cheap afaik.
There's a whole world map of most owned Steam game, and TF2 is the most owned in the US, and Australia and New Zealand, funnily enough https://i.redd.it/9xwbhjcfbur01.png source
comparing a free game with costly games...?
I wonder if that includes those idle bots that were banned a while back.
Few people used it and so the owners couldnt keep the website running? Gamebanana is alot more popular so its hard to make a competing website
CSGO's the most owned in a bunch of countries. Cheap can beat free if the game's big enough.
I'm testing out some recent workshop submissions on my server, picking the best for an upcoming video. Feel free to join in and play some new custom maps! 45.63.65.214:27065
If it's a Heavy weapon expect it to be cheap regardless.
If you still need help with servers, feel free to add me on Steam:Steam Community I have experience with hosting servers and stuff.
I like playing Heavy, I really don't mind Heavy's items being cheap lmao. Being able to afford pretty nice hats/weapons for heavy for a cheap price feels nice.
Its utterly laughable how valve has spent almost 3 years on their competitive mode and its still complete garbage. At this point I doubt the mode will ever be good, and sites like TF2PL are better for a "casual-competitive" experience in every single way.
