I have my doubts they will always sell it. That would completely destroy the novelty of campaigns. And if a new players wants to buy a pass, he can buy them all and play them? Just sounds off to me. It might not have been a last-minute decision, but a surprise for us, just like the Campaigns sales and extensions.
Speaking of extensions: This is the first Campaign without an Extension.
I'm having the worst game of mvm right now. It is only normal mode and I am playing with a bunch of fucking morons. One of these retards voted to restart the map when we failed the final wave, and it passed. Why would you do that? [editline]6th February 2018[/editline] Well, I left the server because there were only 2 other players left. We had just failed a wave again, and the same guy voted to restart again.
People have gotten significantly worse in shooters over the years I've been playing. You could ask why people do some of the most redundant and worthless things ( Engineers building at spawn in KotH maps to protect spawn, or engie's who build at last on payload maps when we still hold the first point ) in PvP modes. I still say the player base was better back when Team Fortress was an active mod for the original quake then it is 20 years later lol, it's really that bad... I feel it has to do with ignorant people refusing to do any research into a game and how it functions before jumping in. Trying to sort of wing it think they know enough. These are usually the people who drop quickly when they start noticing they are truly bad at the game and decide it's not for them because they need to put some level of effort into it to get anywhere... What's sad that in MvM it's really not hard to grasp the basics of how each class functions... But people still manage to fail at that too. A lot of people will brush it off as "my teams fault" over their own as well... I can't count the number of times people think I'm the one at fault when I'm more then doubling them in terms of output because I'm running sniper or pyro in MvM. Although, with how easy it is to preform now on pyro in MvM people will probably welcome even garbage pyro's with open arms lol: [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/919167685833240963/5E61084FD00E4B3E9A8186590D5DF20B7CD6A353/[/t]
These guys have failed a normal mode wave like 20+ times at this point.
At this point, it's probably best to leave and find another group.

Dragon's Fury feels so fucking great. Going back to the stock flamethrower ain't feelin' that great.
Dragon's Fury feels so fucking great. Going back to the stock flamethrower ain't feelin' that great.
its a nice change- so refreshing to land 3-4 hits on anything and blast them to oblivion
Dragon's Fury feels so fucking great. Going back to the stock flamethrower ain't feelin' that great.
Even just 1 or 2 puffs from the normal flamethrower is still deadly to most classes.
How I feel about the Dragon's Fury. https://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/images/9/91/Heavy_specialweapon09.wav Also can someone put the textures for Coffin Nail in the custom folder to replace a war paint? I tried to see what it would look like but there were too many files and was too complex for me. edit: the textures for Coffin Nail, Dressed to Kill, and Top Shelf are all in the same folder, cig
Didn't heavy's new weapon lines used to play for skinned miniguns, cuz they don't anymore. I got one a while ago and they didn't play.
Didn't heavy's new weapon lines used to play for skinned miniguns, cuz they don't anymore. Regarding the MvM topic, remember when Valve literally held a community contest for MvM maps? And just handed out a few medals to the winners? And didn't actually add their maps or anything? They literally handed themselves the perfect opportunity to add new MvM stuff, and they just... Didn't.
Did you get a war paint or an old style skin? I want to try playing it but I couldn't find the server addresses anywhere.

I wonder if Valve does some market research or something before releasing a big update. 2Cities gave us the Golden Pan, and Gun Mettle the weapon skins.
Weapons I would like to be paintable Baby Face's Blaster Force-a-Nature (seriously paints on this would look 100x better than on the soda popper Quickiebomb Launcher? (not sure if paints would look good on it) Widowmaker Syringe Gun (leave the glass part unpainted though) Hitman's Heatmaker Enforcer
Holy shit I've been having some real bad luck with teams in Titanium Tank. people refusing to play anything other then sniper and spy, clueless team members running bad loadouts, people refusing to listen to advice. I want to experience these maps but I can barely get past 1 wave because mr pro snipes is too cool to listen. :disgust: [editline]7th February 2018[/editline] At least I managed to get through dockyard with a good team, it seems like it's the hardest one.
Did you get a war paint or an old style skin? I was playing Titanium Tank and I use an original Nutcracker, and I'm pretty sure the lines played.
huh, just tried this, you're right. Thanks!
I wonder if Valve does some market research or something before releasing a big update. 2Cities gave us the Golden Pan, and Gun Mettle the weapon skins.
Forgive me if I come off as rude, but that's literally all they do with their games these days, they test different ways of making money off of them. That's why TF2 was made F2P 3 years after it released, got cosmetics, got strange weapons, got unusuals and loot crates, got bonus PVE content, and still gets content to this day. Gun Mettle's skins are literally lifted almost wholesale from CS:GO weapon skins.

I posted the edited Meet the Heavy (edit: in the videos section) and looked at the wiki for when it was released, Meet the Heavy will be 11 years old on May 14th. The very first TF2 trailer will be 12 years old on July 19th. The wiki has this quote from Valve when TF2 was first announced.
Hey You! Yeah you — Action fan! Buckle up and hunker down as Valve launches an A-tomic jet fueled knuckle sandwich right into the doughy bread baskets of the world's battle game blowhards! Those other feeble fight games (and the old maids that play'em and the momma's boys that make'em!) better head for the fainting couch, because this one's the gut-grabbinest, gut-rippenest, strangle-you-with-your-own-grabbed-gutsiest battle thriller ever seared onto your monitor — with pixels that are 5% human blood! — Valve
The signature style hasn't changed in 12+ years, that is awesome.

I haven't noticed how much money Valve can milk out of us with all the stuff they add, yet they don't seem to experience as much negative backlash as other games with their monetary practices (as far as I know). Granted, cosmetics don't give you an upper hand, but you can spent +100$ for a war paint and no one will say anything about it. Maybe due to the fact we can recover our investment with a quick sell on the SCM?
way to miss the whole fucking point
video game company experiments with new ways to make money off the game they made.
video game company experiments with new ways to make money off the game they made.
You contributed nothing to what I said and rather just condensed it into a too-simplistic, incredibly vague, pointless response.
You didn't come off as a rude, don't worry. What you say is true, too. Not a single game they've released has had microtransactions be for anything that isn't just cosmetic. The one time they had something that was even close to be considered microtransactions based (the bonuses from Gas Jockey, Milkman, Sydney Sleeper, and Familiar Fez sets that required wearing the hat to use) they changed it within a year's time, and even then it wasn't that strong, just a notable outlier. Even DOTA2 has one of the smartest econonmic systems of any F2P game - the entire base game, including every character, is free, and you only need to pay money to get different skins, like TF2's hats. Really, they're probably the most business-savvy-while-also-being-consumer-friendly videogame companies out there right now. Even big successes like Arcsys's DBFZ have some sort of major pricing flaw (8 DLC characters announced before the game even released).

I saw you, and Hawaiian Counterfeit Jill who's name i can't remember or pronounce in the servers a few times when doing the tour. I'm done with it myself, but feel free to play with my friends and i if you need some competent teammates the next time.
I think you're gravely misinformed on the purpose of the "News" section.
My point is that I don't think we're getting new MvM content anytime soon
Can someone refresh me on the process of making strange versions of weapon skins you cant otherwise get by unboxing? Stuff like the Top Shelf or High Roller skins. Must be a lot of work for how expensive they are.
