TF2 General Chat and Speculation Station V6 - Year of the Guard Dog SURVEY IN OP

all phlog needs is to only build mmph from prmary afterburn and not secondary afterburn.
It's too easy to just spam Scorch Shot, and detonator and get easy crits.
Nerf everything that takes actual aim to use.

Just joking ofcourse, but anyway Pyro still needs fixing. It's not fun to die from a dead backburner pyro just because his flames do not despawn for like 3 seconds.
Just killed a backburner pyro from behind then ran into straight like where he died and got critted by the BB even though he was dead
How's this for a Phlog rework?
Mmmph now requires 400 damage to fully charge instead of 300.
Right click now destroys any projectiles in airblast range at the cost of 20 ammo. If any are destroyed it adds 20 to the Mmmph meter (but only 20, destroying 2 won't add 40). This does nothing to enemy players.
Reload key can now deploy Mmmph along with taunt since right click has a new function.
Mmmph now deals mini crits instead of full crits.
I feel like erasing projectiles would be a bit excessive. Instead of Soldiers and Demos being a slight inconvenience for a good Pyro, they become literally irrelevant in 1v1s. I won't say it's flat-out a bad idea, it adds an interesting dynamic to Pyros in giant firefights where they no longer have the projectiles, but it should be considered very carefully.
You do not need to inform me of what I already know. Likewise, I do not need to remind you of my distaste for what I believe is poorly-conceived balance. For some reason, you actually enjoy that accursed generalist/specialist dichotomy, along with good number of 6v6 diehards.
There's a new feature on Steam that shows more detailed TF2 stats.
Go to your Steam profile.
Open your "Games" page
Under TF2, look for "Personal Game Data"

how do these numbers work
Unix time
Unix Time Stamp
What I've noticed out of this is that the SurveyResponses log only has a single entry for RandomCritInquiry compared to the mass of MapQuality and MatchQuality. Whatever they're doing with that information, they don't seem to be collecting multiple data points from the same people. Then again, they might just be using targeted inquiries for players above a certain rank/time threshold and stopping if the query comes back as "horrible." Who knows at this point.
Looks like value 'Result Displayed Rating' for casual matches is your casual elo.
All phlog needs is the "rage" meter to build slower.
phlog shouldn't charge off secondary/melee weapons
phlog shouldn't provide any form of defense whatsoever during the activation
phlog should have -50% ammo to give some limitation to streaks
oh and phlog should have -100% overheal because uber + phlog is a joke
Just checked my TF2 Stats in the new really cool Steam feature, apparently out of 47 reports 34 people got VAC banned.
Fucking nice tbh.
Potential ideas for a hypothetical, balanced and unique Phlog rework:
Mmmph being used by mouse2 without having to be fully charged, with any number of the following effects: Longer range, mini-crits, continuous airblast
Less damage by default, and activating Mmmph increases damage and health or movespeed by a bit? (no uber for this version)
More continuous damage the longer you have your flames on somebody?
AOE fire blast used by Mmmph on M2 like how the Microwave Gun's alt-fire in KF2 works, one full Mmph = 2 activations
I was hoping they didn't get rid of those stats with the JI update. But I never expected this... This is pretty cool TBO.
New info from the new public data
Casual and comp have/will have low priority
Casual has support too for the stat medals in comp
TF2 will have game server login tokens/accounts like CSGO
They track your favorited and blacklisted servers
They still have the War data
They still have the Replay contest data
They track every time you get xp
They track what you buy in the contract gift shop
Cool stuff
CSGO ones are alot less buggy and looks better imo, but I guess TF2 ones are work in progress.
More interested in the fact that they have a "Season" System which was also mentioned back then with the introduction of competitive, which is something comp could really use for major updates.
It's just a weaker version of airblast. Airblast allows pyro to hit enemies with their own projectiles, if it just deletes the projectiles there's no way to damage an enemy with the projectile.

Still think the BSS should be nerfed in 6s by buffing the effect time. Makes it more fun in pubs, and even if you get to mid faster, you're stuck in melee during the first part of the mid fight.
Nerfed? Out of all my time of playing 6's on ETF2L I have never in my life seen anyone use Buffalo Steak Sandvich
Weaker against everything except stickybombs, you could just delete an entire sticky trap with a single airblast.
Buffalo steak is a medium healthkit too tho
Alright make it so it can only delete projectiles in the air not on the ground.
if you have to constantly add last-second exceptions to an idea then it's probably not a good idea
Tell that to Valve.
Weird how the same people who made things like the Dragon's Fury and Buff Banner also made things like the Crit a Cola and Diamondback, there's no consistency. (not that Valve is very consistent in anything)
Nobody runs the steak period outside the occasional gimmick play, why nerf it?
to be fair, Crit a Cola was pretty balanced when it first came out.
