the medieval theme?
the map theme has zero influence over the player loadouts.
if you think "jetpack looks out of place" then get rid of powerjack and caber and the 15 others too.
oh and don't forget all the not-medieval hats!
In fact, the entire joke of Medieval mode's name is that there aren't actual guns in medieval times, barring the Crossbow and Huntsman.
It's not a theming, it's a joke to make a melee-only mode work in the TF2 universe.
Yo, if anyone could drop some model issues with weapons or even cosmetkcs, it would be appreciated . For that visual fix pack. We have got some of the issues in the list, but we're sure there's more.
P.S.: I remember @Findt got some.

Should I use this banana on my streams
took me much too long to realize Upward is a spiral
Goldrush and Dustbowl are really cleverly built in that regard
I equipped the dead ringer for the first time in ages. I still feel it slows me down way too much to really be productive lol. I think it's a combination of having to decloak a mile away from people to ensure they don't hear the announcement that a DR spy decloaked, which really screws with possitioning for a stab IMO. But waiting for it to slowly recharge it's way takes so long lol.
I know people disliked how spammable it was with ammo pick ups quickly recharging, but would it be bad if it was at least a tiny bit faster at recharging on it's own at least? Preferibly with the decloak sound back to what it was when the watch was released?
Dunno about you but it still does the job for me,
I find it good for getting through choke points where you'd probably die from spam if you attempt to go through. Outside of that I generally find stock watch just infinitely more useful then it. It doesn't even feel that situationally good to me now-a-days, which is what alternative weapons are suppose to technically be.
Maybe it's just my play style...
a slight buff to recharge time is only fair, imo.
extended periods of forced inactivity aren't fun. the previous DR being spammed so much was because of exactly that- players don't want to sit around and do nothing until they die or recharge, but they also don't want to throw their lives away by jumping into combat when they know they have no safe way of getting out of it. what makes it worse is that DR spies also can't pick up ammo from backstabbed opponents, which guarantees some regained cloak with every other watch/knife combo.
spam DR isn't fun to play against, but new DR should be fun and balanced, which it really isn't right now. it's definitely the worst watch for actually getting stuff done, and doesn't really fill the niche it used to at high-level play anymore.
I like the speed boost on activation way more than old DR tbh.
I like CnD more dependant on the map. If ammo isn't as common place I find it useful when it comes to waiting for the right moment to actually attack.
oh, I like speed DR design too
but the nature of its design forces inactivity, and even prior to the recent nerf didn't help spy get into position for picks/get behind enemy lines because of its very loud decloak noise. imo it's always been a pestering weapon, not a stealth tool.
Tbh they might not know how to add items to the medieval whitelist anymore, or how to add things to the chat rp converter.
Or know what medieval is.
People have wanted Tux to be tradable for how long? As soon as it came out? It's one change in items_game.txt, might not even need a game restart. The default setting of 70 fov could cause literal sickness in
new players, one change to the default value, from 70 to 90.
It's perplexing.
medieval whitelist is also one change in items_game
Checked and you're right, it's a seperate attribute added to items, thought you meant the chat at first, think that's a different file. What's more annoying, a dev leaving and no one changes their work, or them
knowing what to do, and just not caring. @The Jill , any chance of any of the new items (assume since it's melee the Hot Hand was allowed automaticaly) being usable in medieval?
I made them enable the gunboats a while back just from a mail so i'm pretty sure anyone could do it
What percentage of people who play this game are even aware of medieval mode's special third person option. Like come on, at least put it in advanced settings.
I'd like a weapon for locking strange counts so just in case you accidentally equip it again but have it set at a certain number, you don't fuck it up
Since Apple is killing off 32-bit support on Mac, hope Source games get updated, could also help the memory issues Mac/Linux versions of TF2 have has since Scream Fortress 2015.
I wonder can Source 1 even compile 64 bit versions of game? I have no idea, I can't really find anything with a quick google search.
Could we finally be getting a Source 2 port if Source 1 doesn't support 64 bit?
Going through my 1700 screenshots trying to find a single image where I pinned a scout's to a ceiling with a rescue ranger bolt, I ran across this:

Makes me wish they'd update some of the old unusual effects to make them look nicer. Turning the dandruff into actually snowflakes ( although, they are a tad bit large ). IT would be nice if they had actual snowflake designs to them.
Fuckin' hell the Dragon's Fury and Panic Attack are SO good together, you can deal massive damage (especially on crowds) and deal with Scouts or Soldiers jumping around if you have decent aim.
CS:GO on linux and mac os has 64 bit support

Some effects really REALLY badly need re-work.
i've run this set up for a while now and god damn it is a fun one. and thanks to the fixed spread of the Panic you can use it to snipe people from mid range. of all weapons these two seem to have a good sinergy with each other.
You know thinking about this year so far the TF Folk have really been killing it. Blue Moon, killing Idling Bots, a way better system of combating cheaters etc.
obviously there are still issues like the funny lagbots or competitive having its own boat of issues, but overall if the TF Team releases an actual Summer Update this year this might turn out to be one of the best modern tf2 years
