More Merc Park weirdness, the sfm short starts behind the K of the big Yeti Park sign [t]https://i.imgur.com/lVUOAT4.png[/t] But in game it's an island (there's also foliage below the helicopter that's not there in the map and the water near the right side is yellow in the short) [t]https://i.imgur.com/tnT88cV.jpg[/t] The volcano in the map also seems to be a facade holding the yeti prison, also because waterfalls don't come out of volcanoes [t]https://i.imgur.com/2A7oE7z.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/HB6dfDR.jpg[/t] But it's not under the volcano in the map, maybe the second point was added later and the rest of the map had to be pushed back? How about a blast from the past?
So did cheat sellers had a sale recently? Keep bumping into Lmaobox users every third game. Some even go turbo cancer with aimbot + 100% crits.
we're playing on the EU server, will be starting with haywire then we'll do convoy, balloon race and convoy steam://connect/188.165.207.20:27024
Should the DF projectile be offset like most other projectiles?
So did cheat sellers had a sale recently? Keep bumping into Lmaobox users every third game. As well as a few I suspected, but couldn’t set up fast enough to varify if they were or not. Not just snipers either. Pyro’s botting airblast and scouts were present, even a direct hit soldier.

I wonder if in haywire the wooden wall that is next to the fence over looking the third point on the water could be jumped over by lighter classes by crouch jumpin on other props? Also on the way to the fourth point a bit after the ramp from the third point the cart started to spin for a moment
Really enjoyed the server, loved the maps selection.
How about a blast from the past?
Memories of Xbox 360 TF2 are flooding back into me. Of the week or so straight I played the game back in 2011 before I broke my Orange Box disc and got a PC to play PC games, I don't think I even played on any map besides 2Fort and Dustbowl. God, playing Dustbowl's second point on Defense as Heavy was the most intense shit ever. I also vividly remember watching G4, and seeing the little blurb on the text crawl that announced TF2 had officially gone free-to-play. I lost my shit, even though I had already owned the game at that point.
I did not expect Facepunch balloon race to be this fun, thanks for joining
I wish the vaccinator got a change. Its current design is dumb, stupid, and dumb.
I wish the vaccinator got a change. Its current design is dumb, stupid, and dumb.
it was always dumb. see the whole concept of medic is that not only he makes a good patient super dangerous but you also gotta get past said patient to get to the medic. vaccinator is this + [your gun does 25% damage enjoy] The first version had a significant weakness to crits and tbh that was the most bearable version. then again nearly everything is always better on v1
that was fuuun pl_haywire feels like it'd be better if it was scaled down a notch, since everything feels a little too large and open, but otherwise is p nice
Tbh its openness is fine, Swiftwater is more open. You can still spam, I could even with the Bison.
What has the TF Team been up to? As we know, disabling Idling farms. Given how lead TF2 is by trading and the economy, this is rather massive, and the aftermath of the change is starting to hit now. I wouldn't be surprised if we got some kind of further metal usage this year.
I can get why they don't talk about the future and stuff because shit changes. But even that is a bit dumb in my opinion. But why not say something about a thing like this? This is big, good news that has already happened and they're still just.. silent.
Some people made a very nice looking rework of ctf_turbine, aesthetics look inspired by CSGO's revamped Nuke. YTPMV Ahoy!

E: yeah it's called ctf_newbine_rc1, so that's...eh. It's a shame, because the detailing is really nice in most places and I dig the layout improvements from an initial impression. I'd certainly have a bash at playing on it, just needs more work.

The main drawback now seems to be botting, and if they can cantrol a majority of this the economy might actually reach a healthy state again.
If only they'd acted sooner the damage is already done, but refined being valuable again would be amazing.

This is big, good news that has already happened and they're still just.. silent.
Sadly it seems like the TF2 team has gone to their default mode of being silent which is too bad because they had a few decent years of communicating with the community (they weren't perfect but it was a lot better than before, Dave Riller being part of the Gabe Newell AMA and doing the interview was a gigantic step in the right direction). I asked Tyler about his communication with the TF2 team when he was testing the VNN server and he said that the team hasn't communicated with him in months. Their lack of communication is getting bad again. I really wish we would get a "What we're working on" Blogpost at the beginning of each year to give us an idea of what the plans are for the year. it doesn't have to be 100% final and they can make it clear that plans can change but give us a road map for the year.

You know, I feel as if this could be pretty bad in the short term actually. Mainly, my fear comes from the fact that I know I don't know enough about economics to say I understand exactly what's happening here. My best guess is that keys are supposed to drop, but the fact that they're dropping this quickly is likely due to pure speculation -- that is, people expect keys to drop, so they artificially cause that drop prematurely. That's not to say that getting rid of the idlebots will be negative in the long term. It'll probably be quite positive, and I'm very glad that Valve actually did something. I just somewhat fear the rate at which this somewhat radical change is occurring. My limited knowledge of economics tells me that things happening this quickly isn't great in the short term, even if the long-term picture looks good. Idk though lol

its purely speculation. valve has no way to kill idle bots, or at least not a realiable way to do so in such an automated way that it would permanently kill idle bots. i feel its mor eof like whoever was running those idle farms eventually realised he was losing more money than it was worth.
