v1 enforcer made spy into a generalist. it wasn't healthy.
Maybe when you glitched perma crits from the diamond back onto the v1 enforcer maybe... Back when you could one shot scouts doing that lol. He still lacked mobility though, which is something generalists need to be considered generalist though.
From my experience with another f2p game with ranked matchmaking, banning cheaters usually makes the game worse, because all those cheaters will go make new accounts and start over from low ranks, the game becomes unplayable for at least a month until they all rank up again Not sure if any of that has anything to do with TF2, just sharing a thought, I don't think the ban wave has anything to do with the next update
I just wanna know why Valve refuses to make another MvM update. I'm pretty sure it was incredibly profitable. I really hope they do something with the community made maps and waves.
I just wanna know why Valve refuses to make another MvM update. I'm pretty sure it was incredibly profitable. I'm sure even if the current TFTEAM wanted to make more, they just can't.

I really hope they do something with the community made maps and waves.
A mix of: -The devs who are passionate about MvM left the team -The devs who knew how to make content for MvM left the team (possibly debunked due to the new Pyro weapon upgrades) -They don't want to do more MvM without something fresh and novel both in terms of map mechanics, and tour rewards -They're focusing on competitive matchmaking and balance edit: Bonus, MvM is another abandoned experiment, this time for PVE gameplay, which was improved in CSGO and Dota 2 with the Guardian missions and Siltbreaker respectively, and they just don't want to add more to it edit2: the bonus reason is just speculation as to why MvM hasn't gotten new content

Hopefully they will support the community as they increase MvM's potential. I think that until some sorta matchmaking is done to help u get grouped with people who are not unable to know what a f4 button is, i would say its lesser priority atm

snip didn't realize i was reading the wrong page rip
i just think it might be because it's very time consuming to create new maps and such. Hopefully they will support the community as they increase MvM's potential.
We don't want new maps. We want new missions for the existing maps.
I just wanna know why Valve refuses to make another MvM update. I'm pretty sure it was incredibly profitable. I really hope they do something with the community made maps and waves.
Two reasons. 1, members involved with the old MvM updates are gone and those left aren't interested/familiar with it. 2, they don't want to split up the game community more while preparing competitive. The more formats/gamemodes the harder it is to convince people to try other ones. And of course the extra third option, they're just fucking incompetent.
I think I'll go with option 3. The community seems to be able to create their own maps and waves. Even if the team were uninterested they would surely be capable enough to make an update. Also if anything MvM would probably bring in more players than comp could due to the fact that MvM has actual rewards. Comp just gives you a shiny medal. Certainly wouldn't split the community as the whole point of MvM is to get fancy weapons to kill other players with.
We don't want new maps. We want new missions for the existing maps.
Por que no lost dos?
Por que no lost dos?
see years ago we foolishly imagined that valve making new missions for already existing maps would take so little time compared to having to constantly design an entire new artpass set each time, so us regulars didn't wish to wait years for maps when they could just make missions once in a while maybe? turns out neither happened!
TF2's situation is like two carpenters have to maintain a huge mansion all by themselves, they can't do the best job because they just can't do everything, and their priorities are strange, like replacing whole doors to fix a doorknob, or never repairing a room because they don't know why the room was there in the first place.
TF2's situation is more like two incompetent carpenters hired to redo the carpet in a dinky little house that pays them more than enough, but they'd rather spend their time doing god knows what instead of actually doing work.

But Valve doesn't seem to care too much about combating cheating. There are countless cheating steam groups and bot farms in broad daylight, which any professional game dev would take the time to quash. 'Cept for valve.
If you use anticheat tools like hardware/IP bans
nty They're actively detecting hacks and banning hackers by the thousands. It's not like they're sitting around twiddling thumbs.
Sorry, haven't been on this forum for a little while... probably since the weeks directly after Jungle Inferno update. Anyone know exactly what the new hackers are doing to the servers that's causing them to crash? Or why there were so many hackers? Last night, I played about 9 games and every one of them except for the last two had at least one hacker on it.
nty They're actively detecting hacks and banning hackers by the thousands. It's not like they're sitting around twiddling thumbs.
You must not play casual too much. Have you been to a casual server recently? The place is flooded with bots to defeat vote kicks and aimbotters who wear the tag of thier cheating clan. Banned by the thousands means nothing if they just make another 5 alts and come back.
Is this known?
Has the bug with the Saxton where the hat becomes completely blue/yellow/white happened with any cosmetic before?
Has the bug with the Saxton where the hat becomes completely blue/yellow/white happened with any cosmetic before?
It's the only cosmetic I've seen that happen to in the 7k hours I've played the game. So I presume no...
Has the bug with the Saxton where the hat becomes completely blue/yellow/white happened with any cosmetic before?
i managed to catch it on some pyro head about a year ago, and got these two screenshots [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/938310631323129291/CBD3C3E451B194F202E1A63D9402707F27ECFF21/[/t] [t]https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/938310631323129962/B0078CB7B38BE9DD671B1A7C3AEDE18E198700F9/[/t] i could've sworn i've seen it on something else before, too, but i don't think i caught it.

I looked at the wiki page for the Nabler and it says it and the Dapper Disguise both have the bug, and it may be related to Jarate.
Rarely, the Dapper Disguise will be completely blue, yellow or green. Additionally, the mask will be black if the player wearing it is under the effects of Jarate while experiencing this bug. Like the Dapper Disguise, the Nabler may occasionally turn completely yellow. This often occurs when the Pyro is doused in Jarate.

If the hack gets detected, it literally can't be used again.
Well they must not be detecting very many hacks then, because there are cheaters everywhere and VAC is doing literally nothing to stop them. We. Need. A better. Anticheat.
If the hack gets detected, it literally can't be used again.
Not really, VAC does delayed bans. That's even part of its design.
