While valve is under no obligation to care about its previous less popular products it can be a bit agravating that they care so much about their newest product while neglecting their older and influenciar IPs such as half life and tf2. I still have just a little bit faith that artifact may actualy be a good game, while i love bashing on it like most people if the sucess of the game may make valve want to make more products in the near future then i hope that does well.
why didn't you play titanium tank before the badge came out? of course everyone is going to be clamoring all over it now since a free hat is involved.
Does anyone really care about badges all that much?
why didn't you play titanium tank before the badge came out? of course everyone is going to be clamoring all over it now since a free hat is involved.
The badge was already in the game before the tour was even found to exist, let alone announced. More likely, it's just because YouTubers are advertising it, and Potato's MVM Servers group has officially announced the tour as a thing people can play that the servers are filling up now, rather than the promise of a badge.
Agent Gunn is so excellent the makers should get special in-game Saxxys that turn dead enemies in to diamond. It's so great they should reference it somewhere, like a sign for Gunn's Detective Agency or something.
I wonder why the tf2 team beat him up so much? Was it because he was wearing blue?
I wonder why the tf2 team beat him up so much? Was it because he was wearing blue?
They probably wanted the briefcase but Agent Gunn beat them to it. Also, the mercs are canonical assholes.
Would be funny if valve was totally up for a TF2 tournament but the TF team doesn't let them because 6s is "too different" from the regular game, and they're making them wait on the comp overhaul.

Though i feel like instead of sitting with broken comp MM and waiting till they come up with official format they should just accept classic 6s as official and then slowly shape them into better fitting format through updates over time.
11:35 "there'll also be professional tournament tracks the same way that you see professional tracks in TF, CS and Dota" "TF" where can I see that?
When you play Dota 2 against bots all day, it's easy to become out of touch with reality.
why didn't you play titanium tank before the badge came out? of course everyone is going to be clamoring all over it now since a free hat is involved.
I hadn't heard of it... I did notice the badge fairly early though and was about to ask about how you go about getting it a long time ago.
Nice topic! :)
so with the JI contracts being permanent, is it safe to assume the new pyro gear will never be put in random drops?
so with the JI contracts being permanent, is it safe to assume the new pyro gear will never be put in random drops?
Would be nice if they removed free pyro contracts when campaign ended and made them dropable and most importantly craftable as a tiny metal sink...
so with the JI contracts being permanent, is it safe to assume the new pyro gear will never be put in random drops?
Hopefully it's a sign they're fully on board with making new weapons be contract drops to help curb the idling problem (even with bots gone it's still a problem).
Hopefully it's a sign they're fully on board with making new weapons be contract drops to help curb the idling problem (even with bots gone it's still a problem).
what if I want the hot hand without poisoning a server with gimmick play tho
what if I want the hot hand without poisoning a server with gimmick play tho
Do you always play TF2 seriously? You can just play 2fort and do normal damage and switch to the hot hand for the kill, actually the contract loaners don't expire anymore so you could just use the loaner.
Anyone here in favor of bringing Croc-o-Style back? I think he was the hero we needed to stop the Sniper menace.
Anyone here in favor of bringing Croc-o-Style back? I think he was the hero we needed to stop the Sniper menace.
Hell no.
Anyone here in favor of bringing Croc-o-Style back? I think he was the hero we needed to stop the Sniper menace.
stopping the sniper menace...with more snipers who can't be headshot and have no incentive to be skilled?
Bodyshot Sydney Sleeper Snipers are hardly anywhere near as annoying as the real deal.
Bodyshot Sydney Sleeper Snipers are hardly anywhere near as annoying as the real deal.
not true for anyone under 300 hp
The idea behind it is this: Sniper is problematic; Sniper is annoying; Sniper is not fun to play with because who enjoys getting killed instantly from someone you aren't fighting? Valve is never going to outright remove Sniper from the game, so what is the next best solution? The Croc-o-Style set provided Sniper lifers with an irritant in the form of an unlock set that empowered poor Snipers to counter them with minimal effort and cheesy mechanics. The effect of this over time would be less Sniper mains, since why would people desire to main Sniper if all it takes to kill them is a bad Sniper? There's less incentive to improve and remain attached to the class. So what does this cause? Less Sniper mains = more fun for everyone else.
So what does this cause? Less Sniper mains = more fun for everyone else.
more like less fun for them = more fun for me
Isn't that something you would want? Sniper by design is inherently anti-fun for everyone other than the Sniper.
Isn't that something you would want? Sniper by design is inherently anti-fun for everyone other than the Sniper.
Adding the Croc-o-Style back to be anti fun for Sniper mains would be anti-fun for every class but Heavy. 150 damage bodyshots outright kill 5/9 classes, and Soldier/Pyro/Demo will be left with so little health that the jarate effect from the shot will make them die even to unfocused spam, from Sniper's SMG for example. edit: this is more for the Sleeper itself, but the Sleeper doesn't need even an indirect buff

not to mention the piss "explosive headshots" of the current sydney is dumb as hell and should be reverted to its old +25% charge only self.
How does the explosion even work? Is it just a sphere around the target's head? How big is the radius? edit: wait is it just a reused explosive headshot that does no damage and applies jarate?
Sniper's main problem is that he's his own best counter, reintroducing the croc set would be the opposite of helping that.
Why would buffing a sub-class of an already too-strong class be at all a good solution? How is it going to positively affect anybody not playing Sniper?
the mercs are canonical assholes.
Well, mostly.... Scout: Utter and complete asshole. The biggest asshole in a crew of assholes. Solider: Delusional asshole. Pyro: Batshit insane, but has no idea what it's doing. Not an asshole. Demo: Only an asshole when he's drunk. (Yeah, I know...) Heavy: Not an asshole, doing his job because he must. He's pictured as sick and sadistic in Poker Night, but that's not canon AFAIK. Engie: Not an asshole at all. Medic: Megalomanical (and morally bankrupt) asshole. Sniper: Professional asshole. Spy: Pompous asshole. So 1/3 of the team aren't assholes.
