TF2 General Chat and Update Speculation Station - One of Several Edition

As of the 19/07/17 the Moderator Team of Facepunch has decided that the long-going tradition of Major Update Speculation Threads should come to an end due to the threads becoming less about speculation and more about a general chat in their eyes.
Personally I find this to be a silly decision to do to a thread thats even acknowledged by a developer the thread is about, if something will eventually happy, normal, casual chatter in this thread will be drowned out and completely awkward when the entire thread will be filled with hard-core, throbbing speculation. General Chat was a niche used for exactly this, but if the mod team believes this to be the right decision then we can do nothing against it.
As this thread now is essentially a substitute for MUS, I decided to move over the Archive of the old MUS threads and ask the same of any future OPs.

I like your scout and heavy doodles
There is objectively no difference between MUS and TF2 General
There is objectively no difference between MUS and TF2 General
Well yeah, if we only looked at your posts
There is objectively no difference between MUS and TF2 General
Not exactly if you ask me.
It's true that MUS is basically a speculation themed chat thread at this point however stuff like "anyone has a good MvM Server" or tales of what happened to them yesterday in TF2 continue to not belong there, but here.
sweet scout and hella heavy
the doodles remind me of the art done by florkofcows (the guy who did the "hey you see that guy over there?")

The ones you find in Maps and hit, so they fly across the map. Really neat detail and gives me something to do when waiting for Health Packs, everytime I see them I get the urge to hit em.
If you are a Map maker, please add more of these, I need them.

Its always the tiny details that matter most.
yeah like the open seam in the ground where the two displacements meet over on that ledge
Its always the tiny details that matter most.
If only Overwatch put as much effort in their map design than how much time they put putting in tiny details you'll spend 2 seconds with and move on.
Like how you can melee a piano on one map and it'll play the respected key you hit, ultimately pointless time that could of been spent not making the map a choke point fest.
I'm glad TF2 didn't go overboard with that stuff, simple physical objects is a nice touch to any map.
Another one I like is the barrels in Dustbowl's second stage that you can break. kinda pointless but it's a thing.
I actually hate that they're breakable, since it gets rid of another way to get to the mid house area.
will they ever make Demoman's bottle break again?
will they ever make Demoman's bottle break again?
fuck I want that back so bad
Has anybody here been having an issue with the rescue ranger where it occasionally takes several clicks for it to actually pick up a building from a distance? I thought it was my M2 starting to crap out at first until I noticed it was not registering under these circumstances only. A couple of friends have told me that they've been experiencing the same thing. Pretty annoying when a sentry buster is detonating next to your gun.
will they ever make Demoman's bottle break again?
They said they would but it was 3 years ago (when they re-added broken Scottish Handshake model) and haven't touched it ever since. While they're at it, they could also fix the broken Ullapool Caber because right now, after breaking (or maybe even before, I don't see a reason why a demoman would run around with broken Ullapool Caber), the model turns invisible for every person except the one holding it.

While they're at it, they could fix Sandvich, Dalokohs Bar, Buffalo Steak Sandvich bite marks. While they're at it, they could make Spy put actual bullets to other revolvers than stock. While they're at it, they could make the Engineer actually flip the switch on the build PDA. While they're at it, they could make the shells for most of the weapons not come out from your mouth.
Seriously, I can't stand how much visual bugs there are that Valve doesn't even notice. That's one of the things games like Overwatch are so popular, the "polished" feel.
will they ever make Demoman's bottle break again?
This might've been a joke, but I remember hearing that it got disabled because Valve thought newer players would think that it does more damage when it's broken.

Fortunately, that's not true. They got disabled because Valve was too lazy to set up the bodygroups for the converted bottle c_model.
Is this the end of times for Heavy buffs?

Overwatch maps are filled to the brim with useless detail, its like Blizzard focused more on looks than gameplay.

It's nice... for 5 minutes.
and then you have a 30 minute spam/barrier chokepoint fest
Overwatch maps are filled to the brim with useless detail, its like Blizzard focused more on looks than gameplay.
Yup, they do. TF2's gameplay is miles ahead than Overwatch's, because Overwatch is all polish but not substance, but the polish is one of the big reasons why Overwatch is much more popular than TF2.
the polish
Those damn Poles dun did it again.
This might've been a joke, but I remember hearing that it got disabled because Valve thought newer players would think that it does more damage when it's broken.
That didn't stop me from breaking it anyway.
I know it didnt do more damage but it made me feel better.
Don't forget some maps of TF2, like goldrush and hoodoo, are complete and awful chokefests. I'm glad the game has improved the quality of the maps with time.
if we're talking about chokepoints, might as well mention junction. wich is a huge chokepoint disguised as a map.
It's funny how they cut some maps from Casual, but the Junction is still in
Junction is the ultimate TF2 experience :v:
