To be fair I doubt Overwatch's balance changes will be as frequent in 8 or 9 years as they are today, if it even still gets balance patches and they haven't moved on to Overwatch 2.
Would anyone here object to a Team Fortress 3 if it meant the retention of satisfactory support? Somehow I don't think so.
Would anyone here object to a Team Fortress 3 if it meant the retention of satisfactory support? The bar has been lowered that much.
they actually communicated guys now you arent allowed to be mad because they communicated
is "ITT" shit still a bannable offence?
Would anyone here object to a Team Fortress 3 if it meant the retention of satisfactory support? Somehow I don't think so.
There is just about zero need for a new Team Fortress game.

I had a fucking mini-heart attack seeing a tweet by the tf2 twitter on my feed today and they try to sell me the glitter of the figure collector's world god damnit
There is just about zero need for a new Team Fortress game.
If the quality and quantity of support for a new game is superior to what we have now, why would you feel one isn't needed?
If TF3 were to be developed. I wonder how many developers from other teams would roll their desks to work on it, would Robin Walker make a return?
I'm curious about something. What would you guys like to see in this update that hasn't been mentioned as of now? They are clearly working on stuff that hasn't been discussed yet, like the crate system up until a few days ago. So, what would you guys like to see that hasn't been discussed?
I've been thinking about the new Pyro weapons that are going to be coming with the update. Assuming they don't theme them as jungle items, and assuming they don't make their own, I'd really like to see this in game. It's so damn good. Partly because of my hideous bias and partly because no one has an edge. Everyone has the same character (no classes, abilities, differing health pools) and access to the same weapons. It all comes down to your mastery of movement, aim, map knowledge and overall game sense.
Literally had same idea for flamethrower for what is like months now. Never got around modelling, and someone else did it. I guess no reason to explain how much i like it :v: Though cosmetics coming with it are sub-par if you ask me. It would pair much better with chemical warfare theme instead of pest control. Hazmat, spare filters instead of grenades, that kind of thing. Besides, Ol' Wheezy looks like discount Mair Mask. No offense, author.
I miss when the tf2 characters would make blog posts Like look at this: Why can't we have more stuff like this? [t]http://i.imgur.com/4lmSFBr.png[/t]
I suppose Jane changed his mind when it came to painting, given all his hats.

Probably one of the few remotely possible things that would make the wait worth it.
At this point Im sure we can all agree that the update is coming in september Heh, my past self wouldn't believe me If I told him so
At this point Im sure we can all agree that the update is coming in september Heh, my past self wouldn't believe me If I told him so
literally a handful of days left until september and yet the desperate still think that would be a completely outrageous target. so cute
Fun
Mapper here: I've been struggling to figure out how to produce this mythical fun. Competitive told me to get good, players defined it through tautology, 4chan called it a buzzword, an alchemy convention banned me from attending, and food stand workers at a local fair told me to hurry up with my order. Does anyone have any insight before I start developing a religion to find the answer?
Also, tomorrow the TF2 Birthday mode will turn on. Expect Steve Guttenberg.

Havent see Steve Guttenberg congrats appear in years. You can expect birthday mode though as it automatically turns on. Some maps, like the one i did also use feature provided by the system - presents are visible there at birthday, valentine and smismass time only in spawnrooms.
The game has more than double the character count of tf2 and only features one toolkit per character (as opposed to unlockable weapons). Your point is empty when you realize TF2 is even worse at balance because of how many items are worthless next to stock or objectively better than stock. The only annoying part of their balance is when characters are necessary picks (doomfist and old road) or when they are absolutely unusable (old rein and new road). Even then they stay fully aware and vocal about their stance on balance and awareness. If you're going to try and knock overwatch down a peg, you're going to need a more grounded argument.
Logically having just one toolset per character is less work to balance than 300+ weapons and all their combinations, both in loadouts and how they play out when used on each other in combat.
Logically having just one toolset per character is less work to balance than 300+ weapons and all their combinations, both in loadouts and how they play out when used on each other in combat.
You'd think it'd work out that way but it really doesn't. Balancing only 9 characters with optional weapon unlocks is looking way more doable than a game with 25, and counting, set heroes and flawed core gameplay. I respect Blizzard's balancing efforts but you can only do so much with that clusterfuck amalgamation of a moba and a shooter. This shit just doesn't mix well, at least in this attempt at it. And I don't think you can expect every single weapon to be viable competitively. As long everyone's stock loadouts are viable and no unlocks are OP/completely unusable, we should be able to say the game is balanced.
The coordinator and the item server are down for me. Is absolutely nothing about to happen? Edit: And they're back
