It's not like it was scheduled as an 'F.U' to TF2. It's just an animated short, it's not exactly a big flashy video for an upcoming update. [sp]Also TF2 has one thing that differs from OW in terms of updates, OW's playercount hits the floor when there isn't one. TF2 at least still has players playing when there isn't, says something doesn't it...[/sp] Plus the update can take as long as it wants in my opinion. I'd rather it take ages and reach everyone's expectations than to have another MyM or EoTL...

There was an item schema update earlier. It made the arms race medals name-taggable.

At least give the damned thing to the demoman, an item that places the equivalent of pumpkin bombs where the demo can't activate it but his team or the enemy team could could provide a new and unusual strategy to the game and make for new tactics and meta options. But no, no you want something (you already have BUT BETTER in the form of a grappling hook) put into a class it has no point in being on.

It showed playercounts spike to the hundred thousands during events and then when it ends half of those players just seemingly vanish till the next update/event. This was around last year's Halloween when I saw it iirc.

Overwatch took inspiration from tf2, and there's no point ignoring that. They are in the same family of games, there's a lot of overlap in the communities, and you often talk about what you like/dislike in a game by comparing it to similar games. So ofc people will always compare ow to tf2, because it makes sense. But making salty conspiration theories isn't interesting or relevant.

Anecdotally, queue times seem a lot longer in ow outside events and I personally play much less of the game outside of events.

I was trying to figure out why my blood pressure rised for a brief moment reading the name, I think he was the guy who shit on people sharking while doing the same thing and calling it "trading up". Definitely some of the most fun games I've had in awhile!

That's one thing that TF2 has and always will have over every other FPS game, entire servers can come to a halt so everybody can just screw around with taunts and other goofy shit, and it's one of the many reasons why I love this game

He sold everything valuable in his backpack and mainly plays tf2 competitively. In his newer videos, he even acknowledges how bad his old videos were. He's almost a new person, I recommend looking at his new videos.

The goofiness and just fucking around is a big part of what makes the game and community so fun.
