I don't actually understand why MUS gotta pay for stupid people who get themselves banned. That's their problem and theirs alone.
Not sure if unpopular opinion but trading these days is a hassle and I honestly wish with this update valve ships that all Pre-Gun Mettle Hats/Taunts/Misc become Marketable because even though its the better deal, waiting a week for bought keys to go tradable so I can then convert them into metal then get what I want with hopes the guy selling has authentication is insane. I would rather have all several middle men cut out and would rather buy everything directly off the community market.

[DEL]I mean I was in the fp discord when he made the discussion to end it all, and they were complaining about the NUMBER of the reports, but doing like nothing to lower that number than just mope. I mean my god the guy was talking about the NUMBER OF GUYS TO GET but was just like "Eh who caresssss"[/DEL]
Killing Dead Ringer spies as soon as they pop their watch as Heavy is satisfactory.
Fairly recently, I was a on a Valve 2fort server and mowed down a DR spy with Natascha. He began screaming at me in text chat that I was hacking because I killed him while I was cloaked. I attempted to explain that cloaked spies are slightly visible when taking damage, he was moving in a predictable fashion and I had more hours on 2Fort than the Surgeon General recommended (and therefore knew where spies ran.) He was having none of it and demanded that my team kick me for "obvious cheats." In spite of all the nerfs, Natascha is still my favorite sidegrade. I wish I could bring myself to like Svetlana (the Tomis) more. I'm hoping the coming Heavy buff makes it more enjoyable to use.
Not pointing fingers at anyone but there was a good few low post accounts who got banned for shitposting in the MUS, in addition to people responding stupidly to those shitposters, plus people sparking a flamewar over something dumb resulted in what we got. And this was over the space of three days. I agree with Hell-met that I find it a little dumb that the few made it so the rest of us should get punished for their stupidity. But I have a feeling today they've hit a nerve with a mod and they had enough of it.
Should I post the publicly available, still fresh on the general discord convo the guys had when they finally GOT MUS? I mean it's pretty important stuff, the threads been around longer than some of the mods have been users and goes back almost a full 7 years.
Posting this here and not in MUS. I wish I could post this comment anonymously, but since I can't I'll have to be really vague. There's a big ...thing happening the third week of next month that will affect at least one TF2 community. It's now a race between that event (which is 100% going to take place on a specific date) and the coming update. The future is mighty uncertain. :dead:
You can post it on r/tf2 anonymously, but anonymity in general will remove credibility from your statement. Even now I have little reason to think anything of it, if i'm honest.
Sad that MUS is finally going to end. It's a shame, I remember first joining FP when the Invasion update was around and it was nice to check out all the speculation/posts that were made in MUS around that time. Too bad this is going to be the final thread for it due to all the people continuously shitting up the Speculation thread.
We need to update the title. I'm thinking something along the lines of "TF2 Major Discussion: One of Several Edition"
I'd prefer "The Day MUS Stood Still", personally.
I blame the spy mains.
how is this my fault tho

I really wish the mods would reconsider. MUS had a unique culture within it that I will sorely miss.
you'd think if they're so sick of it they'd give moderation duties to a few well-behaved folk in the TF2 subforum who actually care about the game and take a more hands-off approach with occasional check-ins of course, that's a few steps of effort above simply killing off one of our longest-running megathreads and arbitrarily passing out bans for the violation of unlisted rules, so why would they do that?
To be honest, as much as I'll miss MUS, it's had it coming for a long time. The Team Fortress 2 subsection is on its last legs, and with nothing to really speculate MUS might as well just merge into the General. but i don't play much now and rarely post here anymore so v:v:v
Final MUS: What came first: the update or the end?
I don't understand why the repeat offenders can't be permabanned. Why should the rest of us have to be punished for the actions of a few? This feels like a very poor decision by the mods.
I think we should be carefull of how we criticize the mods action as we might get banned out of the blue. Although im not sure where to draw the line in Facepunch
Anyone interested in seeing a Flare Jumper? Got one on the TF2TightRope Europe server that I feel really comfortable with at the moment. Weekly events with a live commentator: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tf2tightrope#events/2562962718210489607 To try out the Flare Jumper, just equip a Detonator and you are all set. It uses that id and model to make it seamless and prevent custom file downloads. Current stats for our Flare Jumper are: BUFF; +100% self damage force BUFF; -100% explosion self-damage vulnerability NERF; -100% damage dealt NERF; Cannot ignite enemy players NERF; Unable to carry the intelligence and the PASS Time JACK NOTE; This weapon will reload automatically when not active

Do you think I'd be a good idea for Valve to remove the least used items in game, such as old crates or unloved cosmetics? I was thinking about this a few weeks ago, but wanted to know the community's opinion. Any player who owned one of these removed items would get something as a "Sorry-Not-Sorry" condolence gift.

Nothing else. If they tried to replicate said experiment with the less popular items/crates, the same would happen again (plus legal issues, shared revenue and so on). I just discovered something while playing Casual: you cannot be nominated to change teams if you are in a duel. To be honest the fact the TF2 Team even remembers that mechanic is astounding.
Whose the better 'last days of MUS quality control' modman? Doom is setting himself up to be a top candidate for that.
Whose the better 'last days of MUS quality control' modman? Doom is setting himself up to be a top candidate for that.
doom is certainly there,yeah.

I think the whole shitposting thing may just be a bit of a excuse to ax MUS but really, I can´t really blame the mods. Of course, I may be completely wrong.
Can someone explain to me how the hitboxes work?
Can someone explain to me how the hitboxes work?
The snarky, shitpost response is "they don't." A much better answer is contained in this video:
-snip-
As an addendum to Ultravod's linked video, you can see that (presumably) every projectile minus flames have the same collision hull here in this video: I've already posted this video twice in the MUS thread, but this is a different thread with different people anyway and it's somewhat relevant.

So like August 23? Hmm...?
