I heard rumours on next week too, Dane's 6th of 9 might not be far off from the truth.

Maybe Pazer is just being a dingus - once again, don't know the guy. Maybe he is just trying to get reddit away from dane so they won't spam him with questions.

This entire sequence of events feels like something out of a tragic musical, I'm half expecting this to end with Uncle Dane dying in a church while the ghost of the Administrator takes his soul to Teufort.

A guy capitalizing letters in a tweet is definitely a stone cold serious guarantee of when the video game update will arrive and if it fails he will be in so much troublllllle.

"He killed his career" a handful of people will unsub, and tomorow everyone will have forgotten. It was a joke meant to make fun of people who'd think the tf team would just tell him the release date like that and it was debunked right away. If you took a few upcased letters that seriously, youre jumping to conclusions with 0 evidence and taking it way too seriously. The update is likely to drop around that time anyway.

Especially when you take into account that he had just visited Valve offices the same day and received an autographed poster from the TF team. If it's a prank it's tasteless and people will be hesitant to trust him in the future without some hard proof. Imagine Valve shows up to E3 one year and a big 3 and a lamba showed up on the projector only to announce 3 half life themed merchandise: a board game, a card game, and an action figure line. These are expectations that are more than known, to maliciously goad people into getting excited over something they've been waiting far too long for only to pull the rug out from under them with a bait & switch (or in this case literally nothing) is nothing short of a dick move. Sure, don't take what he says as the gospel. But at the same time, he's trashing his credibility over a bad joke if that's what he's set out to do.

Just a question that may have been awnsered many times: Is it normal for TF2 wiki to have technical difficulties?

Dane could've said that the tweet was supposed to be funny and pazer could interpret that as "it's a joke"

Even if Dane fucks up I'm still watching his stuff. He has awesome video editing talent and uses numbers to back up his assumptions all while cracking jokes. I couldn't ask for more.

Maybe he's fed up with the wait and lack of communication like everyone else is, so he's quitting the game and decides to make everyone bitter so no one begs him to return and he can either start a new internet persona not based entirely around a tf2 character or do something else entirely with his life.

If they didn't release it this summer, they clearely don't care about the date and could release it any time really. I don't think anything beside Pax distracting them or the big moving this month could influence the date of release. They clearely haven't set an hard deadline, they're just releasing it when it's ready with the "when it's out you can't change it anymore" mindset. We just know they're finishing it up so it shouldn't be too long now. Dane and the Saxxy winners made fun of the obsessive way people wait for the update because it's silly, and it's easy to make fun of from the perspective of someone who gets asked 100 times a day what they know about the update. The exact same thing happened with VNN and the Saxxy winners. They joked around with him because he was asking them what they knew about the update, when they were just playing a regular game of tf2 with devs on Thundermountain. He didn't get the joke and reported on it a video, and then got it wrong a second time and said in a video they [I]lied[/I] to him because he didn't understand [I]a simple joke[/I].
