TF2 General Chat and Update Speculation Station - One of Several Edition - Games

It's been well known for years that Facepunch moderators are temperamental and conceited (something that appears to be required for the position), and while I wouldn't call it surprising that they'd speak of us with nothing but contempt, it's certainly galling to witness. As for Damjen? I respect that he's a fellow Star Wars fan, but what a hypocrite; he condemns MUS because it's a supposed cesspool of cynicism, yet makes the bold--and tired--claim that the game is dead.

A moderator doesn't have to have super high passion for a game to moderate a discussion board related to it, though. It is a [I]JOB,[/I] not some passion project. Get over the fact that mods were tired of random people coming in going "har har neato TONITE'S THE NITE XDDDD" and go make a discord server to speculate in or talk about it in general. I already quit TF2 so I don't have that much of a say in the matter, but when I was around you guys were only slightly better because people wouldn't create page long rants about how Spy is shit (I am not blaming you for this one Contra) or constantly go "waah no update tonite ;(".

The problem is you are all living in a bubble. This subforum is part of a greater whole, and while most of you probably only come here [I]for[/I] TF2, the fact is the larger majority of the forum's opinions on TF2 has soured. I would continue to argue that TF2 Emporium probably deserves to be in Creationism Corner or something, but the rest of the threads see so little activity compared to the rest of the forum that they could be consolidated into one megathread in GGD. This section is basically kept afloat by... four threads? TF2 Emporium, MUS, TF2 Media, General Chat. Maybe if you're generous you could include the community project threads, but they aren't exactly the most active of threads either. All but one of those threads could be merged with eachother and it wouldn't really affect things that hard. Finally, this isn't really the right place to continue going on about MUS's closure, neither here or the MUS. Ok this is a bit of a stretch but I'm looking for an old custom map called cp_danson(?) that was a 5cp map made up of rooms with a bunch of walls being made out of various pictures and memes. I remember it had a funny youtube video that went along with it that had Japanese Jazz/Swing music playing in the background. it also had a "trap" room fill with pictures of dickgirls and I think a picture of that 80's orange hair aerobics guy around the mid point. I'm doing research on weird maps for a thing but I can't seem to find this one in particular.

Censorship sure shows fair use of mod powers, right? I think that kind of proves the problem here. At least respect the criticism given, don't just remove it entirely. It doesn't prove a point.
