Should we use a seance to communicate with the lurking Valve staff members via ratings? :v:
Jokes aside, I do hope that we get a sign of some activity soon, even if not today.
probably not, but he does share an office space with them
I imagine he may know when things are happening with the tf team
He also could've rolled his desk in to help I suppose. He got hired for breaking tf2 so we can probably expect a few nice exploits if he's involved.
Also didn't mean to rate you dumb, sorry.
[editline]6th September 2017[/editline]
Also he's messaged me every so often asking me why we're making so many tf2 api calls so it seems they roll him in every so often when they need help protecting their servers from us

I THOUGHT WE HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL T-T
The Update will be here any second now, aaaaaaany second now... See, Update! No wait, that's Uncle Dane's blood.
Are you going?

Oh but when I want to hang dane in the town square it's wrong
Grukle dan man lied!!!!!11111
Never playing hard hat again!
in all seriousness that is two valve employees in as many days who have absolutely seen NINESIX spreading as a rumor...but haven't bothered to comment on it to debunk it, meaning they're either content watching the hype train spiral out of control or they're waiting to see how we react
I have no doubt at this point that they're aware of NINESIX, and Jill could just jump in here and rate a post "disagree" or something if he felt the urge. I think they know, I think they know that we know, and I think something is happening tonight.
O TF Team, please strike my hopes now if they're unfounded. If my hype train shouldn't be running, I'd like to slow it down instead of derailing it.
volvo pls
Today just feels so good for it to be the day.
So I guess we'll see you guys next week then.
If i'm being completely honest the amount of natural disasters going on right now seems like it would make for a poor time to release a large game update.
However this is the last week before TF2's birthday, which falls on a weekend, so if they were to call it a celebratory event they're pretty pigeon holed into doing it before the end of the week.

How I have missed this.

What does natural disasters ever have to do with update releases for video games? Or almost any company doing anything that was planned at the time of the disaster, unless they are hit by it or associated with something that gets hit.
1% chance that we're getting update tonight ( IMO ). If It was to happen, at best we'd get a blogpost tonight.
I hope we do. Gib blogpost pls.
shall we mess with http://media.steampowered.com/apps/tf2/blog/images/now_featuring_guessupdatename.png then?
There is still time right guys? right??

The no-update bell will be rung in around 5 hours. Hold your horses.

It has nothing to do with it. I'm speaking indirectly, when large parts of the world are undergoing disaster, your update is less likely to garner attention because of more urgent focuses. Certainly doesn't help they're within the US, which makes up a large portion of Valve's demographic.
I didn't say it's career suicide releasing during it. Just that in terms of timing it doesn't do them any favors.
Valve isn't the planning type. They push things back hours before intended release for the sake of their own interest.
I have faith in Uncle, even though he was only reporting on what Valve showed.

I don't think there's anything to be done about it honestly. Something's always going on.
Today is the day of the prophecy of the ancient uncles. Will we reach our fiery destination, or will our optimism be further reduced to ashes?
The end.
Goodbye optimism, hello whiteboard blues.
Wow. It's been a while since we've had a new thread. I guess we did make it to the end without an update. Maybe in a few hours, though...
