I saw the same thing as Crash did, that implied that maps havent been selected yet so i was 99% sure update isn't coming out this week, as it takes more than few days to get everything set up for map launch for an update.
I wouldn't be surprised if their sound guys whipped together a jungle soundscape first and said "hey we should make something to go with this." Pure speculation, though.

Most of the time i find myself with bunch of pyros and scouts who run into their death neglecting the concept of cover and maneuvers itself, and i'm forced to pocket one of the "push" members to make it trough it. Or switching class and letting them die just like they did. Everyone says - "comp is communication first and foremost". Comp is teamplay, and teamplay can be mute too, but you have to understand that you don't have to run away from airblasting friendly pyro while on fire, dodge crossbow, that you have to shoot back one-two times friend who's attacking you because he's spychecking, that you have to at least scream "incoming" or "help" when overwhelmed, et cetera, and not just grab rocketlauncher and go frag like in quake /rant

It can just give madmilk-type return some part of damage dealt as health effect, but in radius and without recharge. Although i think it will lower amount of work required from medics too much - as you will be just standing around people without any prioritizing needed.

This is pretty much Lucio's method of healing so just do like him and reduce the HPS compared to the other mediguns. You could even have the HPS scale depending on how many people are in the AOE. The more people receiving heals the lower the HPS per target. Uber could just give everyone an instant % over heal or heal all targets at the standard medigun rate for the uber duration. Not a perfect pitch, just spit balling.
I can see a lot of people watching this thread with bated breath. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the last several updates have had videos showing the taunts in the update page, and those videos went public around the same time or even before the update page went up. The YouTube notification on the TF2 channel would be a pretty surefire way to alert you, it's worked for me.

If the community maps are indeed stil a ways away, then perhaps slit the update into halfs? Official stuff fist, then community content 2nd? We would still be getting a massive update, but also have something for September too.

Its them who needs to get their ass in gear, or at least communicate why it's not currently.

[/QUOTE] You have absolutely no proof for the first statement and the second. The release of Jungle Props has been thrown out the door, a second balancing blog post was never confirmed. Tyler's emails could be answered seconds before the Update and/or have also likely been thrown out of the door.
there have been multiple months to work on maps, they should not be the cause of the delay here
Alright. They've been purposely delaying the update and we all know why. They wanna hear us say we were wrong. They want us to say "yeah MyM was bad, but at least you pushed something out so we wouldn't have to wait so long" Well fine. if it'll get the update out, i'll just be the one to say it. MyM sucked at launch, but we know understand waiting till its fully fully fully fully patched out takes a buttload too long, and we dont want to wait that long anymore or again with next updates...... enough agrees will launch the update, but is it worth the cost? On a side note, i recieved a [URL="http://cartonofidiocy.tumblr.com/post/163421237951/toweeks-the-week"]message[/URL] stating we would hear some news today.
MyM still isn't fully fixed after more than a year, so are you saying we need to wait two years to both repair that and deliver new content/balance the game? I think someone at Valve needs to finally realize that this arrangement is untenable. It's time to understand that they've outgrown the startup culture they began with 21 years ago.
Why is valve so silent? Do they not want people to build expectations?

The community stuff isn't what's preventing the update from shipping.
