today is the day am i rite guys????
:stop:
today feels like a good day for a blog post, I'm probably going to eat those words though
Is the window closed for today yet?
Working on both simultaneously after staging a big war-style event would not only be stupid but also a PR disaster.
Valve itself is a PR disaster, I don't think this would make things that much worse.
Valve itself is a PR disaster, I don't think this would make things that much worse.
I see you finally delivered on your antiValveness.
this might have been said before but I feel like they're holding off for after the dota superbowl event
Ultiduo Season 3 Blog Post http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=31121
Eh the news segment never really has anything to do with the actual blog though
[t]https://i.imgur.com/jrhXzRr.png[/t] Nothing yet
fixed, make sure you direct link to the image itself instead of the gallery page
what we've learned: someone on the tf team is still alive enough to schedule news posts and copypaste the email from the event organizers they are not, apparently, alive enough to give any kind of status announcement as to the health of their game
What about if Valve thinks tf2 is perfect and it doesn't need more updates?
Just wanna make sure I'm on the same page when it comes to everything that was confirmed and debunked for the update Feel free to dumb this post to hell and correct me if i'm wrong, i'll update this, the last thing we want is expecting something that wasn't ever promised or confirmed : -Pyro pack ->Updated core pyro mechanics to make the class more competitive/have a more precise role in the meta and fix glitches with flames particles for instance. ->New pyro weapons ->Pyro cosmetics, taunts, voicelines? -Jungle ->One valve made map teased in a blog post, multiple community made maps. ->Jungle themed cosmetics, taunts, map assets, probably a jungle case (baseless speculation : Jungle themed non reskin weapons using workshop models?) -A 5m long SFM short (Jungle themed? Pyro themed? Both? Neither? Bread pun themed again?) -> New voicelines -> New music -> New SFM props and assets -3rd weapon skins campaign ->Non stock weapons getting skins for the first time ->New revamped "Choose your own adventure" contract system where you can pick the reward in some way (no more crates skin vs contract skin system?) -Large rebalancing of many weapons in the game based on community feedback that was previewed in the blog post. -Competitive match making update ->New ELO system replacing the ranks, better skill matching and skill rating ->Changes that will hopefully revive the gamemode ->Changes that will hopefully close the gap in the way the game is played between casual and competitive, and in a perfect world get rid of weapon bans in comp -Updated localization files
You forgot: - Achievements (For atleast the Pyro) - A new Server Browser (maybe) - Casual level cap increased by 150. - other casual mode improvements.
Non-stock weapon skins have not been confirmed for this update.
according to flury any vague reference or inuendo is a confirmed fact
Ultiduo Season 3 Blog Post http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=31121
my rss app showed that there's something new on the blog and I nearly got a heart attack
Non-stock weapon skins have not been confirmed for this update.
I'm almost certain VNN reported they were around the AMA/interview. Digging for the source.
I'm almost certain VNN reported they were around the AMA/interview. Digging for the source.
there are some animations for them. But that's it. animations.
You forgot: - Achievements (For atleast the Pyro) - A new Server Browser (maybe) - Casual level cap increased by 150. - other casual mode improvements.
I didn't know about the new server browser, where is the source for that?
there are some animations for them. But that's it. animations.
My bad then, i was pretty sure Driller confirmed them in the interview but I just rewatched it again and nope.
Valve. Say something. How hard can it be?
according to flury any vague reference or inuendo is a confirmed fact
Uncle Dane saying that Jill told him that is neither a vague reference nor an inuendo, especially when Dane only talked about stuff that he thought was "confirmed and not shackey"
I didn't know about the new server browser, where is the source for that?
That goes back to the end of 2016 where some streamers (Like slin) visited Valve and said in a stream that they are working on a new Server Browser. These Vods are now long gone, though.
If only TF2 updated as much as Fistful of Frags
yeah Dane reiterated yesterday on stream that the team told him they were working on some stuff they weren't sure would be int he update, so he never talked about theses to avoid disapoiting everyone, which is the best decision to take imo. And that means what he actually talked about was stuff the team was pretty sure about adding.
That goes back to the end of 2016 where some streamers (Like slin) visited Valve and said in a stream that they are working on a new Server Browser.
there are some animations for them. But that's it. animations.
wasn't it from an email? because i'm 90% sure of it was said by someone at valve once
If I recall correctly; After the interview was done, Dave Riller came up to Tyler to give some additional information about the upcoming update/future content, one of them being Non-stock weapon finishes.
I'm also pretty sure VNN was told directly from the team that there would be non stock skins. I can't find where he said though. That's what I assumed to be true since the interview.
Valve News Network mentions the non-stock skins in this time period; If it doesn't link the time period; it's (5:12)
Ok so it's actually confirmed yeah, it was just not in the interview video
I'm amazed they haven't put a backpack icon in the matchmaker so you can craft stuff and choose your loadouts while waiting to find a server. If you enter open_charinfo into the console the backpack opens fine, so surely there's no reason why it shouldn't be there. It'd be more engaging than clicking the coin, at least.
I want to try and see if it is possible in a custom hud.
There could, and there could very well not be a blog post today. I would more bet on next week for a blog post and the Update too.
