Now that the VNN's release date question was answered, I feel as if the update could happen any day now at this point. I also feel like they wouldn't even be working on mannpower unless they were pretty much done with the pyro update, because why else would they work on something so minor when a much more major update is supposed to be worked on? idk, just pointless speculation at this point, but it has certainly got my hopes up.
There is no email or secret information out there that i know of. All that i have said is just MY opinion on the launch, nothing else.
What email?
The one about a guy getting his problem with his map fixed by the help of Valve and it was strongly implied the maps hadn't been selected. Blackavar asked for the email but he didn't receive a response. This was mostly a joke. ;)
The hackers will be back, but for now, just enjoy peace within the official servers, it wont last forever
Hackers are easily startled, but they'll soon be back and in greater numbers.
Hackers are easily startled, but they'll soon be back and in greater numbers.
thats what happens when you dont have anything to do with your life
Ah yes, the Script-Kiddos finally poked the sleeping bear awake with their short stick, only to find all their hundreds of dollars in hats mauled to shreds.

The email was just about "what if" as someone is taking a trip and might not be around if his map was selected. We didn't say who and such because the conversation was more of a private matter between them, not us. There is no email around that i know of about maps being selected and if there were, no one would talk about it out loud if their map got in so surprise stays at the moment of the update launch. Maybe this clears things up a bit.
Either way, we might actually get an Update today. 99% not the Jungle one, but just a quick hotfix, unless they did fix the Mannpower Regeneration/static jumping thing crash.
They have already fixed the Regen and sentry rockets crash for Mannpower servers, so they probably snuck in a fix for static jumping too.
Weren't Medic heals during setup broken as well?
Well, CSGO did have updates during The International, so why wouldn't TF2? Plus I don't get it how would Dota International somehow have an influence on when TF2 update hits, lol.
So do you people do any fact checking or do you just see someone say something or trust your own faulty memory and immediately assume I'm wrong and didn't do any fact checking myself. Look, all I'm saying is don't get your hopes too high up for next week. All of Valve's employees come out of the woodwork to work on The International, there's a VERY good reason why it's run locally at the same venue every year since 2014. I know what I'm talking about, I've attended every year since 2013 varying between actual worker flown by valve, to spectator, to person working the merchandise area. I've met TF team members, CSGO team members, VR team members, L4D team members. They all work the event. All of them. I want it to be next week, you want it to be next week, we all want it to be next week. But the chances of it launching next week are super, super, SUPER minimal. But hey, anything's possible, I just wouldn't put money on that horse.
Maybe the bans were prepping for the update? I honestly have no idea. All I know is, with no updates to the game, my tf2 experience is starting to become stale and it's making me want to play overwatch instead of tf2. Please TF Team, end me from this suffering.
It wasnt just catbots and their creators that were banned http://steamcommunity.com/id/urallez3/ I've encountered this fucker multiple times in matchmaking, but he was just using alts. This is his main account, he never cheated on it. So valve is not only banning cheaters alts, but they are banning the main accounts, regardless if they cheated or not
that's not even my main account. LMFAO (User was permabanned for this post ("Gimmick" - Mezzokoko))
Are there still chances for today or should i just call it quits?
Are there still chances for today or should i just call it quits?
call it quits for the next couple following weeks

I don't think you need any of that information to advise people to not be hopeful about next week.
They should take hacker's items like cops take money from drug cartels.
When someone is VAC banned their items are forever locked to their account so they can't trade them away (or use them since probably 99.9% of TF2 servers use VAC). If Valve is manually VAC banning people it's about time.
At this point, I'm more excited to play Heavy with a jetpack in Lawbreakers than I am for this update. Thanks for defeating me, Valve.

You're a bit behind, like about 2 years. I was talking about more recent things.

It starts the 7th, runs until the 12th, don't try to zing me with your totally epic comeback and completely ignore the fact that I specifically mention it all being about the main event when I'm just trying to keep expectations down, bub. Piss off.
We're working on a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. The notes for the update are below. Just when I sent an e-mail reporting the bug.
If they have the time to roll out 3 updates this week, it must be near completion
that actually made my heart drop for a second
I mean if you count two updates fixing the shit they broke in the initial update then sure. I have no hopes of it coming out before September tbh.

Does the TF Team value the International enough to delay an update thats - if it's the case - finished?
localization files update intensifies
