That's the long arm of the Lawl right there
It's been a while since I checked it, but I noticed that the official Nullcore Steam group has been "administratively disabled." https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Nullcore There was a second, unofficial Nullcore cheater's group on Steam. I don't remember the URL, but I can't find evidence of it now.
If they have the time to push out bug fixing patches, and update Manpower, then the update must be near. I'd say no more than 2 weeks out
Here's a more relevant poll about when the update drops, Optimistic: Week of 8/7 - 8/11 (DOTA International Week) Agree: Week of 8/14 - 8/18 Disagree: Week of 8/21 - 8/25 Late: September Personally, while I want to have hope for next week, it's most likely not happening then. The following week would definitely be the safest bet imo. I'll also give this item away to a random person who is in the right category
I saw a theory about this Mannpower update somewhere, but I found it both pretty amusing and interesting, so Ill basically try my best to re-tell it. As you all know Valve's work ethic, you can basically work on anything you like. And as you all know, even projects like Powerhouse just sometimes get left, and then years later, get picked up again by random dudes in the office. Well. What if there is Mannpower dude. Mannpower dude is just your average guy, for all we know he could work on VR, Steam itself, maybe even Dota. But we know that he is the guy that works on Mannpower. One day when he was on a toilet he probably had a wacky idea of TF2 with pickups, and grapples, and weird stats, and no randomcrits but the engineers left arm is 3% bigger. That is the day he decided to take a day off on Steam, Dota, whatever, and rolled his desk into the TF2 Office and told them of his idea. They probably thought he was insane but why would they deny him? It's free content. So Mannpower dude would roll in every week or so and enthusiastically lead the charge for Mannpower development. This could explain why out of all the modes Mannpower is getting an Update every 3 months or so with extremely weird balancing patches and why hellfire looks so... weird. I just find the thought of Mannpower dude extremely funny, with him rolling his desk in every now and then and the TF Team going "not this guy again" - but for all we know it's the TF Team working on it, just a theory.
Yeah. I saw that theory on reddit.
Less than 21 days for TF2's birthday party. don't forget to bring your best hat to the show.
Less than 21 days for TF2's birthday party. don't forget to bring your best hat to the show.
I still have my spiral sallet :downs:
New comp meta 5 Medics, 1 Heavy 2 Vacc medics, 1 Uber, 1 Krits, and 1 Quick It worked, we won both rounds
Less than 21 days for TF2's birthday party. don't forget to bring your best hat to the show.
I think best hat to honor tf2 10 years anniversary would be no hat at all, as they didn't had hats nor custom weapons back then.
Main event, I repeat, this all pertains to the MAIN. EVENT. It starts the 7th, runs until the 12th, don't try to zing me with your totally epic comeback and completely ignore the fact that I specifically mention it all being about the main event when I'm just trying to keep expectations down, bub. Piss off.
Man how to over react.
New comp meta 5 Medics, 1 Heavy 2 Vacc medics, 1 Uber, 1 Krits, and 1 Quick It worked, we won both rounds
I demand footage.
New comp meta 5 Medics, 1 Heavy 2 Vacc medics, 1 Uber, 1 Krits, and 1 Quick It worked, we won both rounds
This is utterly absurd. I love it.
Ive encountered 2 bots in a harvest game http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198408853743/ http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198121067305/ What they were doing is following a path like cat bot did, but didnt actually attack any one. They were pointing at them like they were going to attack, but they didnt. Its almost like they forgot to program them to attack, because they can use their secondary fire, I know this because one of them went sniper, and used the scope, kept aiming at peoples heads, but didnt shoot. They kept changing classes every time they died.
New comp meta 5 Medics, 1 Heavy 2 Vacc medics, 1 Uber, 1 Krits, and 1 Quick It worked, we won both rounds
This is why comp matchmaking needs class limits.
This is why comp matchmaking needs class limits.
This is why the vaccinator needs to be nerfed. It was designed dumb and obviously without 6v6 in mind.
I asked in their discord. Turns out new people are testing out the bot for themselves.
Less than 21 days for TF2's birthday party. don't forget to bring your best hat to the show.
Just to clarify; this is celebrating the Team Fortress franchise, since the first "Team Fortress" was released on August 24th 1996. Team Fortress 2 itself, along with other Orange Box games like Portal and Episode 2, are turning 10 on October 10th this year. Maybe we can expect birthday mode to be enabled then, too, at the very least.
It would not surprise me to see more bans in the following days. It is probably both preparation for the update and to deal with the cat bot issue that has gotten out of hand.
I cast my vote for October, for the tenth anniversary update.
This is what I initially expected too, but since Valve stated yesterday that they're incredibly close to shipping the update, I now think that it'll come anywhere from next week to early September.
I know "hurr Valve Time" is a meme and all, but "incredibly close" could mean literally any amount of time when we're talking about Valve. They promised a bi-monthly comic back in August of 2013, literally 4 years ago, and issue #6 came out roughly 3 and a half years later. As per usual, we've got no idea when the update is coming until someone outright says "hey, the update is coming". And even then, it's not always a 100% guarantee :v:
The update could really come any day now. DRiller said he would answer mostly all questions before the update. I'm expecting this update the following week after the next week because of the International.
They didn't say it was "incredibly close" They said they were finishing up. That could mean anything.
Awesome to finally hear some of those VNN questions answered, as for the update itself I'll continue to be patient. I hope it comes out this Summer, but I can also see them waiting for the game's anniversary.
https://mobile.twitter.com/danekevincook/status/893329571218472961 I think Dane needs to clean his goggles a bit. The comp mode is probably still going to be INCREDIBLY unpopular after the update. The bad taste will still be there, it's not going to just disappear like arena mode did. Also, since he's I think level 17 he's still not going to be finding many, if any comp games.
Casual still needs some sort of ELO or matchmaking tied to your Badge level. It would solve the "Steamroll or Get rolled" situation that ends matches in 2-3 minutes. I already miss those 50 min stalemates on 5 cp.
Casual is casual, because anyone can be matched into a game without any sort of rating. It's supposed to be that way - not very team driven, not very objective driven, without strict ruleset - just for anyone to do what they like, with outlined goal to make it interesting. It needs working autobalance. In competitive that wouldn't work, because you compare teams, who performs better, and you shouldn't break or mix them. In casual though, it's much more personal, as you are matched with random people who you don't have to stick to. Autobalance should be improved and returned, and badges should have some insentve to gain them, and not just be pointless trinket.

Balance is never going to be perfect with 12v12 but hopefully they do continue to work on it.
So do you people do any fact checking or do you just see someone say something or trust your own faulty memory and immediately assume I'm wrong and didn't do any fact checking myself. Look, all I'm saying is don't get your hopes too high up for next week. All of Valve's employees come out of the woodwork to work on The International, there's a VERY good reason why it's run locally at the same venue every year since 2014. I know what I'm talking about, I've attended every year since 2013 varying between actual worker flown by valve, to spectator, to person working the merchandise area. I've met TF team members, CSGO team members, VR team members, L4D team members. They all work the event. All of them. I want it to be next week, you want it to be next week, we all want it to be next week. But the chances of it launching next week are super, super, SUPER minimal. But hey, anything's possible, I just wouldn't put money on that horse.
That's very special. Isn't Dota 2 special, boys? Here, it can have a gold star.
Fixed players being unable to shoot or heal during pre-round freeze time
This just messes up rollouts right? Why would valve update this.
