looks like valve will release a new game
Has Valve decided to devote themselves to a ripoff war with Blizzard? They're just gonna rip off each other's IPs till somebody loses? I can see why the writers left.
Has Valve decided to devote themselves to a ripoff war with Blizzard? They're just gonna rip off each other's IPs till somebody loses? I can see why the writers left.
Yeah. First Overwatch and now Hearthstone? When will those hacks at Valve just stop?
Alright captain vanilla, but the average person doesn't want to have to change this setting every time they want to use two specific weapons.
autoreload is honestly a completely useless mechanic if you're already good enough at buffering reloads whenever you're done firing you've got like a 10,000,000 frame window to buffer a reload so just hit R once in a while and you're good
Man, you guys thought the development time for updates was long before, how about now that valve will be juggling four multiplayer games at once.
Man, you guys thought the development time for updates was long before, how about now that valve will be juggling four multiplayer games at once.
They juggled TF2, Portal 2, L4D2, and CS:GO previously, I doubt it'll change much. It's dry enough here as it is.

all i know about playing heavy jump on people with your minigun try to yell louder than your gun i can't play heavy on offense at all
so regarding the update, how many of you think this week is the week? just curious, ty for input agree = yes disagree = no
the update comes out in october it is the halloween update you have to defeat the halloween boss to unlock the changes
you have to defeat the halloween boss to unlock the changes
So this year's Halloween boss is valve's incompetent management style? The community has been battling that for years.
So this year's Halloween boss is valve's incompetent management style? The community has been battling that for years.
But we never defeated it.
it's just merasmus in clown makeup every once in a while he says "AWOOOOOO YOU WILL NEVER UNLOCK THESE COOL NEW WEAPONS" and then honks his clown nose and teleports away
the update comes out in october it is the halloween update you have to defeat the halloween boss to unlock the changes
with smissmas and scream fortress right around the corner, i honestly wouldnt be surprised if it's shipped with one of the seasonal events
Calling my shot: the reaction to the pyro update will have hype backlash ten times that of EOTL if the update doesn't seriously deliver the longer this goes, the worse it will get
Calling my shot: the reaction to the pyro update will have hype backlash ten times that of EOTL if the update doesn't seriously deliver the longer this goes, the worse it will get
It's different this time since, unlike EOTL, we already have a basic idea of what's actually going to be in the update. It'll only be a disaster if the execution ends up terrible, like what happened with MyM.
dead ringer and ambassadors are getting nerfed that is already a huge plus sign on it
Man, you guys thought the development time for updates was long before, how about now that valve will be juggling four multiplayer games at once.
Hopefully the people working on this card game are mostly DOTA2 people.
Well, to be fair, since Artifact has been announced, the people working at Valve will have yet one more "better" (depends how it'll succeed financially, and how popular it'll be) game to work on than TF2, so this lowers already very tiny chance of getting a new (permanent?) employee that would work on our game. Also, just a side note, even if the new game will be profitable, but not popular, then Valve could just barely do any work. Take TF2 as example, Valve gets tons of money from all those hats and keys, but the game isn't that popular anymore, and doesn't have even a comperable number of players if you take it those hot shot games like CSGO or DOTA 2, so they just, you know, do some stuff once and then, and then we don't hear anything from them for good few months. In my opinion, nowadays Valve cares more about the popularity of the game, and the player numbers, because before the whole CSGO and Dota 2, we've had more, and I think better quality-wise updates, since it was their only popular game that had a fair amount of players(note that CSS and 1.6 were also popular and well known, but had less players and an abysmal amount of new content added after like a year or two, untill OB update where they shipped it and did some small patches, and left again) but that's just my thinking, I don't know if its true, but it could be.
Artifact has already cut the hype in twice, backlash will feel like a wet noodle if it ever happens.
artifact is the red herring if the TF2 update flops, valve can go and say "but oh look at this! this thing SUCKS! yell at THIS!"
if the TF2 update flops, valve can go and say "but oh look at this! this thing SUCKS! yell at THIS!"
We literally don't know anything about the game but the name and the short description. Jesus, this is some circlejerking.
digital card games are a joke already boy do i love shelling out $$$hella bread$$$ for cards that i cant even hold in my hands
digital card games are a joke already boy do i love shelling out $$$hella bread$$$ for cards that i cant even hold in my hands
I thought they were about gameplay, not collecting. What nerd plays a game purely because of digital items that add nothing to the gameplay?
digital card games are a joke already boy do i love shelling out $$$hella bread$$$ for cards that i cant even hold in my hands
To be fair, we're shelling a lot of cash on TF2 keys and hats that we can't hold either, so we're not that much better lol
To be fair, we're shelling a lot of cash on TF2 keys and hats that we can't hold either, so we're not that much better lol
but that's a game we actually play
back on subject though, where are all my neutral boys out here at this point I've accepted that the update will come when it comes, I don;t have any drive to play the game until it drops anyways, I've been playing the same game for about a year now and I'm keen on seeing some sort of new content to keep me busy a while not that I don't enjoy the game, but I'm too tired and busy to go out of my way to find specific games (custom or not) that will actually challenge me and be fun and refreshing, and casual matchmaking isnt doing the job what with the terrible bot/hacker problem afoot. Also if I'm being 100% frank, the righteous bison neutering really killed my favorite soldier subclass which I always used as a fallback when I wasn't enjoying myself. RIP space police. [editline]8th August 2017[/editline]
To be fair, we're shelling a lot of cash on TF2 keys and hats that we can't hold either, so we're not that much better lol
fashion is god though I mean I grew up playing city of heroes so character customization matters a lot to me in the way of immersion even in a relatively unimmersive and almost arcadey game like TF2
digital card games are a joke already boy do i love shelling out $$$hella bread$$$ for cards that i cant even hold in my hands
But what I do love is spending my money on a hat I can't even see. I love my priorities. (making fun of myself, not you.)
I've accepted that the update will come when it comes, too. I want it to come, but I can live without it. Never get your hype levels reach more than 50%, you're gonna end up with disappointment. That's my motto, anyway.
with smissmas and scream fortress right around the corner, i honestly wouldnt be surprised if it's shipped with one of the seasonal events
Highly unlikely. Invasion and halloween were released both in the same month. I dont think valve likes to let it go that close again and let 2 events collide with short playtime on both. I think they are really pushing it out asap. But the longer they take, the more unlikely a valve made halloween map is going to be.
