I'm personally not really that upset about the update being delayed into the fall, since university is the only place where I have Internet capable of online gaming. Of course, it's unforgivable that the update should even be delayed that far, and I feel kinda bad about not being that upset for everyone else's sake. :')

The 72 Hour Jam Happened, a few small patches came out (mostly medals and bug fixes + Mannpower stuff), a Dota 2 card game was announced and Arms Race is voting on entries.

Remember a few weeks ago when mousing over an item didn't trigger the popup that showed its description and stats? Valve "fixed" that by having the popup display an older, cached version of the item. I'm really proud of my strange unusual blah blah minigun. I noticed a while ago it had exactly 2000 dominations on it. "Cool" I thought. That was several weeks ago. I haven't played much Heavy recently (praying for the un-nerf, Gaben laughs at my cries) but I have managed an additional dom or two. The showcase has not updated. In fact, a friend of has an unusual taunt in his showcase that he hasn't owned in quite some time. 10/10, Valve.

Again I'll say it since its pretty much going to happen now. Valve is going to announce the update, hold a huge bananza for a rip-roaring crowd of! 10 people

I had to catch up on the comics after a long break around the one with the film director. They're kinda funny I guess, but I don't see why people weep about them not making more of them or more often.

I just realised, the 15th August next week will be the day Pyro officially won the war. Would be pretty romantic if they announced it at that date.

Mine too. It said it changed twice, but I can't see exactly what because my computer is shitting itself while I play a game. Edit: I blame dota

It's still fucked, too. The Blogpost completely going down is normal, the Update page sometimes going down too, but this has got to be the first time a single character vanishes from the Blog.

so the question is, did the team do this (for whatever reason) or did the site just break?

Could've been db maintenance for the blog or a wordpress update. I doubt it was anything substantial.

desperate speculation: this was the result of a wordpress/etc update being done today because they want to post the blog post either its just desperate speculation, though, because I expect nothing right now
