Why is this "people didnt want to believe me back then" thing so personal to you guys? People are literally throwing dates at a wall and the further the date it is, the bigger the chance for it to stick.

Still think its december.
Still think its december.
"finishing up" does not mean skipping an update and replacing another
So what you're saying is that the pyro update won't be until next year.
Aaaand it will be another crime against us.
Still think its december.
We didn't have any major update for one goddamn year, community will go nuts, if it'll be in December!
I believe we'll get it before Valve releases a new game. Artifact's Beta doesn't count.
As I said earlier, the second week of September is probably the most likely based on the lan schedules and valve's lack of deadline priorities. Which is funny because in the last MUS thanks to people like Jichael, the suggestion of late august/early September was dumb-boxed to oblivion by the stubbornly hopeful. I guess nobody is laughing now.
Bringing this back [t]https://i.imgur.com/bLKUXPy_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=high[/t]
Did Steam just went down for everyone? EDIT : :hypeisreal: EDIT : is fine now :hypeisnotreal:
Did Steam just went down for everyone? EDIT : :hypeisreal:
Well, it is Tuesday, so you might not want to fuel up that hype train just yet
Well, it is Tuesday, so you might not want to fuel up that hype train just yet
Let the boy dream, god knows that hope is something not many have left.
I don't think a single Tuesday will go by without someone getting hyped because Steam is having its normal maintenance. This has happened EVERY WEEK for YEARS. (but yes, if an update were to come out, it'd be better to release it after the maintenance)
Let the boy dream, god knows that hope is something not many have left.
Silly fool, everyone knows God is dead... Back on topic; I'm optimistically guessing this week (the Dota thingy is over, right?)
I don't think a single Tuesday will go by without someone getting hyped because Steam is having its normal maintenance. This has happened EVERY WEEK for YEARS.
In Russia we have a proverb on that point: «Лох не мамонт – лох не вымрет» (eng. «Fool isn't mammoth – fool won't extinct»). Back to the topic: why Valve would release the Major Update (first in this year!) on September (how some people think)? Lots of us return to schools and works at that time.
"finishing up" does not mean skipping an update and replacing another
You can "Finish your drink" after taking one drink from it.
I believe we'll get it before Valve releases a new game. Artifact's Beta doesn't count.
Suddenly, not only card game needs a teaser now, but open beta too. What next? Journalist preview? Developer commentary? Making of?
"finishing up" does not mean skipping an update and replacing another
They never said "finishing up" though, Tyler did. They said "actively trying to finish and ship". This is a purposefully vague statement to answer the question without answering it. I have been "actively trying to finish and publish" a Spy set for weeks now. It wont be ready for a while either.
doesn't matter if it's "finishing up" or "finishing" the fact that they responded to that question in the first place is proof enough that it ain't something like december. Them using wording that heavily implies they are applying the finishing touches is just the cherry on the top.
If its not Thursday im just gonna lose all interest
If its not Thursday im just gonna lose all interest
True that.
Pertinent again, I guess
This isn't exactly something I think will happen but. Do you think Valve would do the testing, mechanics and stats for a new weapon with a placeholder model and then use one of the arms race winners for it? I know it's possible but is that something they would do?
See you all in September
Actually he did also badwater, thundermountain, pipeline and 2 mvm maps along with it for TF2. Same as Iikka Keränen, who made hydro, badlands, crossroads, upward and nucleus. He a long with Cayle george, who made hightower, decoy and foundry are 3 wizards of mapmakers for TF2 along with others.
Thank you Cayle George for TDM Hightower.

If they had said "Close to finishing", "finishing up" or "Almost finished" I would agree with you, but they didn't. Tyler's video made it sound like they are applying the finishing touches, but if you read the statement there just isn't anything in the wording to support that. Not hating on Tyler BTW, just clearing up confusion. They answered a question they promised to answer with dev speak for "We don't know when it will be done but we are working on it". This is the TF2 teams equivalent of "When it's done" I hope it comes out sooner than later but I wont be surprised if it doesn't.

You ship a product that you deem done, you don't try to ship something when you are still working on the main thing. Once again, it's not worth discussing the wording this deeply. The TF Team has skipped two questions. They never promised that they would answer all questions, let alone this one. They wanted to answer most of them before the update, and look, they did. If the Update was still months away, they simply wouldve skipped it aswell/answered it later to not run into the chance of creating expectations they might destroy - as usual. The TF Team never answers questions like this - there is no dev speak for them. They speak the language of silence. If they usually answer questions like those, I wouldn't give it any value but the fact that they never do that is what makes me value to statement.
-snip, faceit client was preventing the game from running, for whatever reason-
"We are actively trying to finish and ship the update." Again, that doesn't sound like months away.
Wow, since in pass time everybody plays scout and engineer, a good direct hit soldier shits on everybody
This may seem strange, but I really want them to make a blog post about the Pyro/Jungle update in exactly 12 days. [sp] Because according to the wiki it would make it 69 days between blog posts and since I'm an immature teenager that number is hilarious to me [/sp] (User was banned for this post ("Spoiler tag misuse" - Kiwi))
