Im surprised noones talked about chocolate here (or if they have i missed it) Mayans practically invited Hot Chocolate, and cacao beans were used a lot. What about some cacao beans that replace the soldiers 'nades?
As I recall, the original chocolate drink was made with chili peppers and the Mayan word "xocolatl" means "bitter water". It was the Europeans who added sugar and milk to make it more palatable.

So I have a pretty stupid idea for a new gamemode and map specifically for the Mayann update. So stupid in fact that I'm not even sure it would qualify as a new gamemode. Let's get right down to it. Essentially, the gamemode is one-sided ctf but played in a similar fashion to payload, the catch is that Blu team has to fight both ways. The idea comes from the [URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aADExWV1bsM"]opening scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark[/URL]. It's not shown in that clip, but Jones has to avoid death on the way in, AND on the way out. So, in a bit more detail: * Blu starts at one end of a cave, tunnel, canyon, etc. * Red is inside, defending the cave, tunnel, or canyon. * Blu has to fight past red, grab the idol, and bring it back to the beginning. * Checkpoints for Blu might not be a bad idea Blu has to fight both to the idol, and back to spawn. If a blu player carrying the idol is killed, the idol is dropped, however the timer on the idol is either very long or there is no timer. If Blu manages to grab the idol from it's pedestal, they get a generous time bonus, and it's considered the beginning of the second half of the game, and it becomes a long fight to bring it back. Blu wins by successfully taking the idol back into their spawn, or out of the entrance of the cave, tunnel, etc. Red wins by keeping blu from taking it back to the start. Traps would fit the theme, but it shouldn't be like a deathrun map. Static (floor spikes) and event-triggered (darts, boulder, etc) would be more desirable than player triggered traps here. If anyone is willing to attempt to make this happen, or needs clarification, please add me on steam and I'll do everything I can to help! Thanks![/QUOTE] Funnily enough I've been thinking of having a go at making a 2 way ctf map for this project with a similar Indiana Jones theme. With a bit of modifying this could make a really good Special Delivery map. I'm not entirety sold on the RED defends the idol thing, it will be really hard to balance things so it's still fun for both sides, if RED is domating BLU or BLU has it too easy then thats no fun. Personally I think a standard sd map where RED and BLU fight each other to get to the idol while dodging traps would work better. I'll make up some sketches soonish to show what I mean. Ive been playing with a taunt idea, but need a custom model. [IMG]http://m0.i.pbase.com/o6/93/329493/1/143302110.WX4zcJAK.GuatemalaJan122213.jpg[/IMG] One person taunts and is put on top of emperor carrying thing with throne on it, then other people join the taunt and start carrying the person slowly while making groaning sounds and saying lines. Mayan emperor taunt basically I have a friend who can make taunts, so gonna ask him but if anyone could make a model for the throne thingy that would be awesome If he cant do It I will put taunt up for claiming.
Finally getting my CP map together properly, quite simple 3 point Capture point map where BLU and RED have their bases in two separate Mayan temples connected by a jungle waterfall as a mid capture point.

Honestly, I am about to give up... I didn't make the model by the way, EmperiorFaiz did. And my textures suck. Honestly, I just had an idea that I wanted to bring to life like my unusual effects. But I feel like I can't, and I feel like crap because I am failing. Also, here is the model. Yeah yeah, it's glitch. Downvote, I don't even care...
