The Medic has two separate "I am a god" voice lines. It would be cool if he had a "divine transformation" taunt in which he slowly levitated off the ground while turning his palms upward, the space growing a bit dark around him, a particle effect causing to him to pulsate a bit, as the Medic looked at his hands in mounting awe, and shouted, "Today...I am a GOD!!" A bit of SFX wouldn't hurt either, to heighten the divine effect. The animation could end by him suddenly slamming back into the ground with a puff of smoke and maniacally laughing, before returning to normal stance. The connection to Mayan mythology would be that the Feathered Serpent (whichever version you wish to consider) was feathered because it represented his ability to fly; hovering would've been considered a sign of divinity to the Mayans.
Building on that idea, what do you think of an all-class meditation taunt, where they go into a meditation pose and slowly levitate a meter above the ground. It could be toggle taunt. I'm aware that meditation is more of an eastern thing, but I feel like it might be close enough?

I think an all-class looping meditation taunt could be kind of cool, though. [editline]17th May 2016[/editline] By the way, TheJukebox, I see you've disagreed with a taunt twice in a row now. Why's that?
So I've changed a few things on my Kali Ma taunt for the Medic, most notably the start is different and the timing is a little slower. Don't worry too much about the head gib, it's just there as a test for the heart when the taunt is polished enough. Let me know what you think. If the animation needs more work, please let me know what parts of it need the most improving on. Thank you! Also,
If anyone has any taunt ideas they'd like animated, I'm open to suggestions. I'm pretty sure taunts have been mentioned a few times here, but I can't find them
While it's more of an Adventurer theme than Mayan, an idea I had was a map taunt for all classes. Where each class would react differently to the map, like the Soldier being confused, Pyro wanting to burn it, Sniper reading it with ease and so on.
His movements are so unnatural :ohno:
Honestly I am quite interested on that hat concept if is all-class.
Sure! It could be.
His movements are so unnatural :ohno:
Which part of his movements are the most unnatural? I'd like to know so I can improve them first and see if the rest is fine afterwards.
By the way, TheJukebox, I see you've disagreed with a taunt twice in a row now. Why's that?
Its not Mayan at all. Pretty much every culture has a god. And you could go back and show Mayans a toaster over and they would believe you were a god, doesn't mean a toaster oven taunt would fit in this theme.
Which part of his movements are the most unnatural? I'd like to know so I can improve them first and see if the rest is fine afterwards.
Bodyparts move freely without affecting the rest of his body (head turning but neck/ upper body doesn't budge, arms move but shoulders/lower body don't turn relative to it, feet moving while the pelvis stays stationary, etc) Generally when you move any part of your body 80% of the rest of your body will at least nudge a teeny bit in reaction to the adjustment
From the frog to the a taunt Hopefully it shorter
Its not Mayan at all.
I truly don't mean to be unfriendly here, but a taunt that somehow tied into the Mayan gods would be more on-theme than a Vincenzo Santorini cosplay.
How do you guys feel about this taunt idea I've been thinking up, wanted to poke at his taste for exquisite and possible exotic liquor and wanted to take advantage of the jungle setting we'd find in such an update: Would start off with Spy pulling out a live snake and a shot glass. He'd lodge the snake's fangs onto the shot glass in order to extract the venom of the snake, filling the glass in a manner akin to Sparkwire's wine taunt. He'd then either place the snake back where he took it out of or would drop it and let it slither away, and would take the venom shot. I've been trying to find a way to apply the base concept to the Sniper but no luck so far. Any votes/feedback are appreciated.
I truly don't mean to be unfriendly here, but a taunt that somehow tied into the Mayan gods would be more on-theme than a Vincenzo Santorini cosplay.
Also not being unfriendly, but the taunt isn't tied to any Mayan god, if Medic said "I AM KUKULCAN!" then yeah it'd be related but just "I AM A GOD!" isn't related at all in my opinion. Also, having to use the defense of "Well this is more related than this other thing that isn't related." generally means that the thing isn't related.

Regardless, while I admittedly didn't express it in my post, I envisioned the taunt having subtle connections to Mayan gods specifically by means of one or two unique particle effects in the "transformation" section. It's fruitless to delve further at this point, since Winglet hasn't expressed interest in the idea, but that was part of my original intent.

I have a quick question: Doesn't Valve help fix-up your items if they get into the game? By edit, I mean with Weight Paint, fix any rigs, etc.
I have a quick question: Doesn't Valve help fix-up your items if they get into the game?
They sometimes leave dev comments with suggestions/things to fix, for example I was asked to fix some z-fighting on the Dad Duds as well as change the blue team colours a bit. I remember they also redid the team colours on the Killer's Kit themselves because I fucked it up, though I don't know of any other instances where that kind of thing has happened (at least recently). Don't rely on them pointing out any broken stuff though, best to make sure your workshop upload is the best condition possible.
I have a quick question: Doesn't Valve help fix-up your items if they get into the game?
I think they used to on rare occasion. I recall the Jingle Belt being modified by Valve to have more "hollowed-out" bells or something. They don't touch up on anything nowadays, as far as I know. and another lame concept by yours truly: [t]http://puu.sh/oVJN0/c8b6e05541.png[/t][t]http://puu.sh/oVJPq/3537510850.png[/t] claimed by ikes

I usually just make the model for something. Honestly have never rigged before. If any of you on the forums can, may I ask for some help? It's fine if you don't want to.
I have a quick question: Doesn't Valve help fix-up your items if they get into the game? On my side, it actually changed the color of the stitch so they simply removed that function for this item.
Winglet, I might have a taunt idea for you. Unless I missed it I haven't seen a suggestion for a taunt where an exhausted merc stops for a moment to have a drink from a canteen. I wanted to block it out in SFM for you but I can't even get SFM to load, so I'll have to describe it instead. Nothing fancy. Merc stops and performs an action to show they are tried (perhaps they hunch over with hands on knees. It could be different for each class) then they reach behind their back and pull out a canteen. They have a big drink of water and put the canteen away. I figured this could work with the theme and not be to over the top. Just a thirsty and exhausted jungle explorer having a swig. Started working on a prop for it if you're interested. This is a very WIP texture, still playing with ideas and open to suggestions. It could maybe work as a decent killcam taunt, too, to convey how hard it was to get a particular kill or something.
I was thinking to remake the ROads to El Tocado, however I need somebody more expert than me. Can somebody help me here?
