Yeah, there really does need to be duller versions of the gold portions of these assets. The red works well, but the gold is just too much on most everything. At no point would I ever need the gold that bright. Although I hope you can see I am doing the best I can with these assets otherwise.
I understand the decision to make the gold texture different between blue and red sides, but the red side is way too gaudy. i think the best way to fix this would be to take the gold texture from the blue skins and use it on the red skins, as it is already that way on all the doorways and friezes.
Please respond here to let the pack creators know if you think this sort of fix, or a similar fix would work. It could be skin 6 and 7 (7 for cubemaps version) on all of the assets that looks this way, and the pack could be updated so people would be able to use it if they don't want such a flashy red side.

For reference, here is how the red looks in game. I don't yet know how the blue looks in game because I haven't seen any screenshots of it yet. This is taken from the pl_ququmannz thread on tf2maps.net. You can see that the frieze and doorway textures look just fine, but the larger ornamental blocks look gaudy.

That looks a lot better with texture, but it's too detailed for TF2.
Take a look at the other wooden weapons in the game.

The blade things on the sides look too small as well imo
just stepping in real quick to let you guys know that the mobile view (and maybe some desktop views with lower res? not too sure!) of the mayann webpage makes it a little hard to access the prop pack page because it's a smidge outta view, so it's hard to click on:

I would decrease the length of the handle, make the top bit thinner, and make the spikes slightly smaller (and thus more numerous). Don't forget to make the spikes aren't for decoration; they should do some damage!
If anything I'd say make the top a bit longer (and a bit wider) to add an extra two or four blades.
Perhaps extend the blades out a bit.

I would say the obsidian blades look too symmetrical, try to add some randomness in their shape (like in that ref pic you showed)
