I went ahead and finalized the update i had been working on and off for over 3 months to the map i made, Cabrakan. Updated the workshop and i think the map is now very near complete than it ever can be. Hopefully this whole mayann project is soon finalized and out with the SFM piece and that missing map.

I can't wait to see what comes out of this, I'm honestly surprised they chose this theme over the frontline stuff. Even so, it'll be great to see some of these items make it in game!

[sp]I was actually pretty unhappy with how the original stuff came out, so I'm glad I went back and updated the art stuff to look nicer[/sp]
If any mapper was looking for a version of the gold ornamental trims that wasn't obnoxious, I made a quick edit. I haven't checked how the reflectivity looks in-game yet, but this should work well enough for design purposes now.

Here is what KOTH Ahau currently looks like (Signalmax and I have been working on it together). Please if anyone would be willing to give us tips on where you think we should go from here, it would be greatly appreciated.
We are keeping the same layout, but we want to add a bunch of team colored metal and wood structure in place of the brick walls, supporting portions of the ruins, in order to detract from the current giant faces of gray brick. So if anyone would like to do a paintover to give us suggestions of where it might look best to add those structures, that would be extremely appreciated.

This is all just red's side for the moment. I tested the alpha version a few times and it was working pretty well, so currently only the red side is being detailed.
The overhang portion would be a great place to start adding a bunch of scaffolding and supports, as well as replacing some of the above cover with team colored walls, so I will definitely start there.
Also, we will have to be careful with team coloring to funnel players out of spawn evenly as well as towards enemy exits. Great points! Thank you.

Looks great! I'd like to take the opportunity to say that we're working on new textures for the team colored and golden freizes so they are not as saturated, shiny and clean.
I'd also like to share this Mayann themed minigun Ronin, Svdl and I created for the project. (more weapons of this style coming soon!)

Here is the current progress on excavation-izing the major parts of the map. We're going to focus on team coloring soon, but this shows the supports under the ruins as well as two other major additions. (Ignore the bad foliage shadows, I already fixed that just now)

I had some good ideas and revelations on how to improve it, after i went back and had a look on some sourcetv demos from the previous tests. I also had couple of user feedbacks sitting in the dark with suggestions to changes awhile. Halloween came a long and kind of put the map on hold for a time. However, that has now ended and after the changes the map is better than ever. I also updated the screenshots @ workshop page.
