WIP using the preexisting coin_spin.vtf as a placeholder for now. Should I make this flashier?

Maybe larger coins? or more coins
I would say larger but fewer coins
Would my Squirrel Hat work for the pack?
Adorable, but not exactly fitting the Mayann, or jungle theme really.
Yeah, thats what I though
Yeah make it flashier, it feels a bit lacking right now. Maybe larger coins? or more coins
A more golden kinda pulsing variation of sunbeams in the middle might work as well
[t]http://puu.sh/o8JCR/7176bfc7db.jpg[/t] Poncho paintover, this might be the way we're going, though this may not be the patterns' final placements, nor the final patterns. Maybe with paintable border and patterns, but only slight paintability so as to not destroy Heavy's torso colors
it should impact his silhouette more imo
Hey, does anyone know any guides or programs I should be looking at for making an unusual effect?
it should impact his silhouette more imo
Interesting Idea but that would also bring up the issue if Team colors. I'll play around with it.
Natural gunslinger and natural minisentry too?
As said before, it would've been better to make a Mayan-themed Gauntlet for the Engi if you're going to do a Gunslinger reskin since it would fit with the Mayan theme.
would these be fitting for a re-branding?
would these be fitting for a re-branding?
Sombrero in a Mayan theme? Skull would also need a pattern rework to fit Mayan design.
A sombrero makes just as much sense for the theme as an Indiana Jones style fedora and leather jacket does - it's a piece of clothing that might conceivably be worn by someone exploring old ruins in "modern day" Mexico, circa 1935.
werent there mexican characters in stereotypical attire in the indiana jones films as well? or other forms of media that explore the south america/jungle theme.
werent there mexican characters in stereotypical attire in the indiana jones films as well? or other forms of media that explore the south america/jungle theme.
I don't remember any Mexicans at all in the IJ series.
I don't remember any Mexicans at all in the IJ series.
im probably thinking of something unrelated, actually. maybe it was the IJ parody bit of UHF? been a while.
I also remember seeing a chinese boy in indiana jones so i guess this fits the theme
I don't remember any Mexicans at all in the IJ series.
Perhaps not the major films, but some of the books and also the Young Indiana Jones TV series, yes. But there's more to the theme than just Indiana Jones specifically - the entire aesthetic of Indiana Jones is borrowed wholesale from earlier pulp adventure magazines set in exotic locales like tropical jungles and ancient ruins in Latin America. Besides, sombreros of that general style are worn in other places as well, like in Peru, which is where the opening of Raiders of The Lost Ark takes places.
i think ill take it up directly with JPRAS and mention what you're saying, verloren
Items that require an elaborate reason to fit in to a themed update should maybe be discouraged
[t]http://i.imgur.com/lcm3YaE.jpg[/t] Hope nobody minds a quick repost. I would love to find an animator willing to bring this to life if they feel it's worth their time.
Items that require an elaborate reason to fit in to a themed update should maybe be discouraged
id hardly call history an "elaborate reason"
Heads up, I'm going to truck out and make a payload map that may or may not be called pl_mannchupichu in the coming weeks. Eheh. But seriously expect a (hopefully) fully fledged pl map. Think Borneo meets Upward plus a prop pack.
id hardly call history an "elaborate reason"
No. The project is Jungle themed so whatever item made for it should, presumably, make someone think of jungle stuff when they see it. When you need to justify or go into a full depth explanation for it then it probably doesn't fit the theme.
I have no experience in map making but I think I'd like to try to make a 5cp map for this. Are there any specific jungle mapping resources?
Fire God mask concept I'll be working with ToxicWeasel soon.
You need to actually say what the model and taunt are.
The model needs to be a map, i said that but you might have overread that. The taunt will be a soldier grabing the map but holding it upsidedown so he points towards the wrong direction.
