Any outpost trade with "don't add me!" is an instant turn off, it's like, sheesh, I wanted to buy from you but you're already yelling at me.
Bonus points if it's in all caps and/or written more than once. I instantly close the trade window if I see these posts because there's literally no point in even trying.

What's wrong with that. Since we have trade offers there's really no need to add anyone. Maybe someone doesn't like? I personally don't see anything bad, but sometimes because of that I may not get what I want to buy fast, because trade offers don't really let You know they arrived (no pop-up).

I think trade offers now have that loud "BING" noise, the same when someone sends you a trade offer in-game. I've gotten it a few times and when I send them to someone who's online, they respond immediately. Only explanation is they got the loud noise alert and checked out the offer.
If they did change it that way, it's a good improvement.

I think so. Sounds pretty dumb that I don't know, but I signed up for it ages ago, but I thought that was just for the card swapping thing ... or is that ongoing?
I also signed up for the hardware beta, but again, I thought that was for the console only. I usually try to participate in everything so maybe I signed up for it and forgot.
Again, I might be wrong as I'm not sure, but I do get it and whenever I leave offers for big time traders, they always respond instantly, unless they're staring at their Steam Page 24/7, I assumed they also got the alert noise.
But I guess I'm the only one who agrees with you here. I [I]always[/I] delete traders instantly after the trade. It's not a huge hassle to do so. I just say thanks for the trade, have a nice day ... then type their name into the search bar on my friends list and remove.
Those who say "dont add me" frustrate me mostly because so long as the B/O price isn't ridiculous, I'm more than happy to pay it. So I just want a quick and efficient trade. By sending a friend request, I [I]know[/I] if they're paying attention to Steam or if they're AFK or whatever. So I don't have to wait for them to accept the trade offer. If they don't add back in a few minutes, I add another seller for the same price.
It's more annoying when they actually don't have offers enabled and say "dont add me". I'm not going to leave a comment saying I will pay their price please add me ... and wait for what could be hours until they check their trade when I can just easily click on the next seller and buy it off them.
PS- If anyone thinks it's stupid that I add sellers between minutes, I always do this and many times I end up having 10+ people waiting to add me back when only 1 responds within 20-30minutes. I've never had an issue with 10 people adding me back, usually 2 people and I have to politely tell the second guy that I added him for a completed trade and apologize. They're always understanding and say have a nice day.

They use your trades to find you, bots never make trades.
As a novice and casual trader just looking to pawn off some hats and uncrates for other hats, trading gives me hella axneity. I can never know if I'm high balling or low balling or if any of the pricelists are accurate or if there's enough demand and such. After a while I begin to question my motivations and how fiscally responsible I'm being, so I usually just end up lowballing for something cheap I want and then move on with my life. I liked playing the game better anyways.
Also is there any point to reporting these bots? Does Valve just let the overflow go or do they have an office of people looking through every report and banning all of the bots and scammers?

Every time I bump my CSGO Lounge trades, I get 1-4 bots add me.
Guy adds me and says he's going to pay 2.66 for something I'm selling for 3 ref.

I really wish I could get Quad to sign my Strange Scattergun I respect the dude a lot and I really want that so badly so I can keep it to me.
