It's YOUR fault for making ridiculous prices that nobody in the right mind is going to pay if they can get it lower. People are buying buds at 21 keys, the highball price is at 24, and you're selling for 30. Nobody's going to buy your shit if they can get it lower.

Except I sell daily at these prices. Most people selling stranges are selling it either in set or are looking for offers. And there is this 1 guy who sells at bp.tf price but isn't online or isn't responding to friend requests. The ones who respond sell it often in a snap. So they come to me. I get many costumers. If needed I will provide screenshot of my inventory history.
I am not stupid, I wouldn't sell at these prices if it wouldn't be possible. And after trading for months with stranges I can say that bp.tf pricings on some stranges are dead wrong. Ussualy when people try to update the price on backpack.tf, they use my trade as proof.

It bothers me somewhat that people would go to you and overpay by a lot instead of easily finding anyone else who has a cheaper overpay.

Maybe there arent cheaper available at that time? Many times when I have to restock fast I can't get a seller within 5 minutes for bp.tf price. Besides the "offer" and "set" trades those with a fixed price are most of the time not responding or are online. In a free market everything is possible

so essentially you get desperate buyers because the guy who's selling an ubersaw for 3 ref is afk. I'll tell you exactly what Demon told you, you don't need a mod to babysit your highball trades. Take it into your own hands and report posts/hide them. Simple as that.

Bluedemon is a fucking fantastic admin, when I came on the staff he would plow through like 700 reports a day. The amount of work he does for Outpost is absurd.

Because he's busy. I was a big trader, a rower and treasurer of my university's rowing team, had a girlfriend, and was one of the few Outpost mods that did reports every day. Of the few hours I liked to set aside for internet use, most of it was dominated by hats. It gets hard to deal with the 40% of people you ban adding you and shouting at you in incoherent sentences. And this is with the ability to only ban someone for two days.
BlueDemon is another very big trader, a Trusted Seller, an Outpost and SR admin. If I'm not mistaken, he's also a homeowner, likely with a wife and kids. He probably has next to no time to deal with the ridiculous harassment that comes with a community position. It's hard enough to fit in your regular duties, and your legitimate appeals. You grow curt, because you'll learn to assume that the add you just recieved is to swear at you and threaten you due to a 12 hour ban for relisting. The unintelligent and upset are the most vocal, so they'll go to [URL="http://tf2outpost.blogspot.com"]http://tf2outpost.blogspot.com[/URL] or here and bash you, only telling half of the story, and the masses will quickly side with them and bash them some more.
For the most part, community admins are decent people. Don't be cunts to them.

Quickfix is listed 0.33 ref on bp.tf (2 months old price). But I can sell very easy at 1.33 ref. Why wouldnt I do that? You guys would do the same if you had this knowledge

90% of people on outpost are selling stranges either in set, looking for offers or are highballing. And btw the bp.tf price on GRU is outdated, but how can you know you dont trade in stranges
There is only 2 pages on outpost. Supply is low, demand is high. So sellers can determine the prices

I trade by the demand and supply logic. I know I can't sell a S.F. Sniper Rifle over 24 keys because there are too many other sellers. But some regular stranges are more "rare" actually then these high tier stranges. But you guys wont get it

I actually did misread ref for keys, that's my fault and I'd deserve 100 "bad reading" ratings if it was still around :v:
But even then, as long as tf2op closes trades for "unrealistic" then those trades were still suitably closed. You posted in this thread making the admin that closed your trade(s) out to be the bad guy and the users of outpost (who are for the most part bp.tf-humpers, I agree there) react in the predictable way to highly priced items.
I am sure people buy from you (even though I have no clue why) but even then I still think you make the whole buy low sell high thing obvious enough to be posted here. Doesn't help your case to call people "butthurt" and such either.
People can price their stuff at whatever they want and if it sells, good for you. I still dislike the practice as it's as obvious as the people who had "buying keys 2.33 selling keys 2.66" on the same trade back when keys were that low.
