Believe it or not, people actually like to trade and sell items to people within a fair range, the reason it's got such a bad reputation is because of people like you who see other people highballing and think it's fine to just do so as well, somehow unable to comprehend why people don't like it.

I used to sell at exact bp.tf price. Sometimes my stock went empty, actually many times.
So I started raising my price. I noticed that I could get away with it, people still bought from me. Even then I went out of stock sometimes. So I raised my price even more. That's how I trade and got my prices. No spreadsheet, bp.tf or whatever and it works perfectly fine. If I can't sell at a certain price, then I do the opposite. Simple, prices are determed by supply and demand.
If I wanted to get out of stock on my stranges within 2 days then I would sell at bp.tf prices. But I am not crazy to do that, that would be dumb. Then I would have no business for next few days. I will sit there with no stock trades.

On the topic of the strange GRU, Falcon is right. If there's a low supply, the easiest thing to do would to buy up all the cheap ones from sellers and increase your price by a reclaimed or so, at most. If you sell too consistently at that price, you raise it a bit higher. That's how it works.
The defense he took was a tad hostile, but his point was correct. There are quite a few stranges like that that are in demand but not in high supply. Like the blutsaugers, which I mentioned Falcon was selling for 2 refined. I suck up bluts for 1-1.33 and sell 'em back for 1.66 ref. It works, same with other stranges that people want. That's how profit works, guys. Do the same and you'll be happy swimming in buds and a million unusuals, or at least be able to afford a key every other week because the price of them has risen by the time you want to buy more.
Somebody offered to trade me either a vintage hunstman or a strange sniper rifle for my strange hunstman today. Both of the offered weapons I already have to boot.
