Quickbuyers are there for people who can't sell their unusuals or just want to get ripped off. Most of the time it's just people buying low-tier unusuals and then they spend a month trying to get full value when they could just let it go for cheaper. It's almost always a waste of time to search for a buyer on outpost.
It bugs me how I still hear pro-quickbuyer arguments. Most of them don't even make any sense. The "it's there if you want it" argument's flawed from the start, as there are so many out there that the need's already been filled a thousand times over. Why are more of those trades necessary? It doesn't help that a good portion are relists or alts in blatant disregard to site rules. The pawnshop or jewelry story argument doesn't really work either. At least with those you have to physically go to that place and put yourself at that disadvantage. On sites or trade servers, sometimes you [i]can't escape it.[/i]
Imagine people coming up to you every time you go to the store - sometimes two or three at once - wanting to buy your phone at 1/3 its value and insulting you should you decline. Unpleasant.
