Why do you need to make a fuss about everything ? I agree it's out of line to close trades that don't specifically say the item is gifted. The user can see that just as easily by hovering over it. Your trades purposely give too little information to inspire shitposting, though. Your coupe trade's constant hate could be avoided by stating "they're not duped, they're just all very similar" in the notes. The Hot Dog trade shouldn't have said clean if it was gifted, regardless of what your definition of clean is. While not spelling out an item's faults isn't grounds for trade closure, purposely giving not enough or mildly misleading information for the purpose of pissing people off is.

You said the hat was clean, therefore you lied-- it should be common sense that lying is against the rules. Clean meant non-gifted before people started duping hats, as someone already pointed out. I was waiting my turn on a Slender fortress server and a guy with exclamation marks for a name sent me a trade request out of the blue. I naturally declined as I do every surprise request. He was offering a Vintage Big Kill for my Houwar and kept claiming that he could get one for 7-12 keys (both figures were used) and said something about "because he'll accept it" (he was talking about the person with the big kill). When I said I wasn't interested, he kept hinting he wanted it ("Rich hat", "Rare", "If u have one wear it" etc) and moved onto trying to sell me a Vintage Bills for it. Word of warning: I ain't trading it. Took me 2 weeks (and I'm not kidding or embellishing this in anyway) just to FIND someone who was trading one. This was back before the animation and the 21 bud price tag. I know not everyone likes it (Marmite hat comes to mind) but I personally don't like Team Captains while others do so it works for different people.

One key a week is a negligible amount, and selling at an outdated price in such immensely small scales could not have less of an effect on the value of the key. I get it, inflation sucks, back in my day keys were 2.33 and we had to walk uphill both ways to get to a trade server. All these little protests do is waste the time of people trying to buy keys. You're not sticking it to the man, because there is no man. It's simply economics, and economics doesn't give two shits about hurt feels on key prices.
