There ARE certain levels that are collectable and people are willing to pay more for. A lot of people tend to collect level 1, 100, 0, 42 or 69 and they generally go for a little bit more then their normal counterpart, depending on the quality of the item.
It's dumb however when someone charges extra for the level of a non-collectors level. I've had a person highball me a bit when I wanted to get a certain item with the level I like on it. While I was alright with that, whatever, he then said "WAit I have someone willing to pay more". That's when I said "No thank you" and then he said "Wait okay you can pay my previous highball price". I just said no thank you and moved on. I've also seen trades where they say a level 32 hat is "really rare to get on a hat". But yeah, I don't see anything wrong with charging more for what is widely considered a collectors level. It's really stupid however when people highball the shit out of someone on a non-collectors level just because someone happens to collect it.
