Whilst tragic in its own way, I kind of feel for the person. Yes it was stupid of him to sell the Doublecross for such a cheap price, but then again~
I miss the days of TF2 when a hat was a hat and people exchanged them for another hat because person X liked how person Y's hat looked and person Y liked how person X's hat looked.
I dont trade often for this reason. There are some items I would like, sure - but to me, they're so ridiculously overpriced that I'd never fork out the supposed amount for them because it seems so completely arbitrary and upmarked.
I have some items that I think are extremely valuable, such as my Heavy Dovah hat or my Pyro's Filamental, but they're comparitively not worth all that much. I have some items that I think are total trash, such as a Genuine AWPer Hand, Strange Professional Killstreak Grenade Launcher and Kringle Collection, but people seem to value them like its pixellated gold. (comparitively to a 'regular' hat worth 1.33 or whatever).
At the end of the day, so many items have completely arbitrary value that someone just 'made up' a long time ago and the price stuck. Priced the way they are simply because they 'look good'. But that is such a purely subjective thing based entirely upon personal opinion. What might look good to one person might look horrendous and ugly to another.
Granted, some items value is further determined by rarity and demand - which is understandable and logical - but the vast majority of commonly traded regular hats and cosmetics vary so much in price and value simply due to how they look when in reality, they are no more rare or common than each other.

I love my Filamental to death. El' Centurino Globe'Ro Pyro is my beloved loadout that I'll never change.
But I seem to recall it only being around 2 - 3 ref at most. Guess it goes to further promote my point that I am a dinosaur when it comes to trading and only do it once a blue moon.

I've only met a handful of girls that weren't complete trash in trading. Meaning Hashtagging, adding <33333 to every post and coloring everything and using emoticons. Maybe that flies with your highschool facebook friends but it's just pathetic online.

As far as I know (from experience with friends), a fair few girls on steam hide the fact that they're girls just because they get clumped in with these others who do that junk. [sp]although hearts are always cool[/sp]

I wouldn't be surprised if that profile is made by a guy posing as a girl. If you google the image tons of results will come up, which is usually a dead give away that the profile is fake.
How sometimes it's impossible to get a liked unusual..

Kbee is definitely a girl. She just uses that picture as her dp.
She used to play frequent a server I funded/admined, and she used her mic. She's really touchy from what I hear. I've only played with her, nothing more, never had a conversation with her. But I know people who were somewhat close to her, and apparently she can be very whacky.
