Why is flies such a cherished effect for Sniper?

If I were to ever get an Unusual I would only get it because I thought the combination had some sort of meaning behind it, so in that way I don't mind people trying to say it has a theme because it gives me ideas.
When they use it to inflate its price, though...
Sometimes the theme of a hat makes its price go up by a lot. One of the best examples is Ghosts Ze Goggles, currently worth more than any other Ze Goggles.

Nah this isn't anything new. I've had a bunch saying "Add my alt/main" some months back, and they sometimes took an hour+ to message me, or first messaged me when I sent them a message.
I had a few people add me because they want to buy my stuff, even though I put nothing for trade for months. Because I refused to sell to them they labeled me a scammer. Found out I was even banned on a few trade servers right after.
Why do people want my stuff, I don't really have anything someone wants.
I once, but only once got add form a very well-done bot. He was typing like real human. First was "Hi", after a while another message about His friend adding me, after a while information about he can't add me, and then finally pishing link. I have to say, I was scaried, surprised, but I also think it was genius.

Also, I hate how "famous" or well known traders open up trades on OP then have on their profile something like "Don't add me or I don't accept random adds".
It's fuckin' annoying because goddamn, maybe, just maybe ... these random adds, such as mine, is in regards to one of your trades. Sorry Mr.Popular but you're only hurting yourself by ignoring potentially 10 trades a day to profit off of because you can't get off your high horse. I mean I can comment on their profiles or trades, which I sometimes do, but it's just a waste of time when I can just go find another seller in minutes, rather than wait for them to see my comment to decide whether or not to add me back.
I can understand where they're coming from, maybe they get a lot of phishing links, but don't just automatically disregard every single add as spam.

I think the only use for private profile but public items is so your friends/people given a link can view your inventory when they want to perform a trade offer with you.
