and no trading on trading sites either.
you speak as if that was a bad thing
I am tired and sick of these phishers, hopefully they haven't advanced yet to even get your account via chat.
This is just anger since I just barely woke up to this, thus, leading to my furiousity of all my comments, but I am more calm and not an ass, which shows that most likely I was. I've gotten too many requests from phishers and I have even blocked many, yet they still add me, forgive me if I did act silly or stupid. Now, I realize I am shitlist worthy. [editline]18th June 2014[/editline]
It's hard to feel sorry for you when you're clearly an ass yourself.
It's hard to reason to something that is pretty much the same equality of a wall, so I thought, why not go full idiot.
just got another phisher bot, but this time, the url link is amazing
stearnccmrnunity.com
I could totally mistake that for sure
Alright, so the guy canceled the trade before I could capture the chat, but here's basically what happened. He asked me how much I wanted for my medic unusual (which btw, was far from lowtier) Me: 8 Him: buds? Me: no, refined Him: *proceeds to put up 8 refined on the trade, realizes I was joking* Him: oh *closes trade* sigh
This shitlist is gonna get bigger. People selling unique hats for unusuals. Weps for keys. Oh man. I say you guys should wait till the hats and wep hype die down :)
I went on an achievement server to test out the new weapons on non-moving bots, later I get a trade, he doesn't talk for a minute, adds a crate doesn't talk again for awhile then finally says, well, I'le show you. [T]http://oi62.tinypic.com/ajv2at.jpg[/T] seriously, i mean come on. later he added a strange razorback, thinking that would get the deal. also, has anyone else had a problem keeping the steam trade or browser overlay open, it keeps closing for me when I'm ingame using the steam browser.
Is it only me or does the phishing links starting to look more and more like "Sean Connery"
It's a cule on where to find the evil mastermind who coded these bots.
He renamed himself from "soldier" to that name and went away at 14:41 I don't understand why i always get these people
Guys please, tell me this is a joke ? I quitted trading for like 6 monthes and come back to see that; are outpost people now so rich that they don't even bother ripping people off by themselves and let fucking bots do it for them ? Like you spread bots all around outpost and just come back once a while to collect all the profit the bots make ?

Like you spread bots all around outpost and just come back once a while to collect all the profit the bots make ?
Yep, this is a common thing now. There's quite a few of them. Key bots are very popular too. I have one added actually and it use it frequently. It's been very reliable and I don't give a shit about profit so I go with it. The bot you just linked, I actually have the creator on my list. He's actually a very nice guy. I rarely use his bots though as they're always out of stock of what I need. It's not that they're rich, it's the fact that that they know how to program these things. Many of these bot owners aren't rich (I assume), since people sell them the hats but never buy off them ... or vice versa, hence why many bots are out of stock for both selling and buying ... they just sit there with an idle inventory. I've come across many like this, hence why I barely use them. That's the only grievance I have with them ... well that and the fact that the trade notes on how to use them are a goddamn essay and I ain't got time to read all that.
Yeah, I get it now - Maybe I overreacted a bit, for me trading has always been a human to human interaction , you deal with someone no matter what you want to trade ( beside specials things like warehouse/scrap.tf of course ) . Now when you read '' buy below 5-20% of usual price" ( and presume that they then try to sell them for more than the usual price like the average outpost hoarders are doing ) it felt like some automatic profit machine serving whoever is the owner. But you're right, and I misinterpreted the concept. Sorry !
Did somebody say Scrap.tf? Fuckin' amazing prices right there. I'm considering not using Scrap.tf anymore, considering this and the fact that every time I try and do something, I get 3-4 priority users cut me in line. Next time I item bank I'm using Shopbot...
Nothing to be sorry about. Different valid point of views really. I just have a really apathetic approach to it I guess. Also, story time. I was just in a trade server, someone advertises he's buying any misc for under 3 ref. I trade him and show him four. He then proceeds to lowball them all claiming he did research on the prices (he did go afk for quite some time), but when I asked for proof and to link me the webpages he supposedly did this research on, he'd change the subject. He quoted bp.tf prices on two of them, I checked bp.tf myself and they were both 1rec higher than what he was claiming, I told him this and he then changes the subject again. I asked him one more time to show me proof and link me the pages he was looking at ... trade cancelled. Surprise surprise... It didn't bother me he was asking 1 rec under market value on a couple of the hats, it's the fact that he tried to bullshit me to get a discount, thinking he can get away with screwing me over. If he simply asked for 1 rec discount, I probably would've done it.

Ironically, he is a hipster. "I painted this hat before it was cooool."
yay my first phisher
I actually got confused today. A phisher added me and sent a link. It had "steamcommunity" right, so I stared at the screen for a while trying to find the mispelling error. Some minutes later I noticed the "steamcommunity.cm" I guess I just found one of the first phisher bots in... phishing history?
i get phishers adding me all the damn time with the same copy and paste i usually tell them to f off and remove them then report them to be honest they are really annoying. :suicide:
Welp, this thread has evolved into "Why The Tf2 Community Phucking Hates Phishers." The big question we should ask is not the links, but why can't the "friends" of the phishers add us, and not make us. (I know it's not a friend, but this tactic makes me chuckle)
-snip wrong thread-
I wish the people that ran the phisher bots had some sort of "Not an idiot" list.
I wish the people that ran the phisher bots had some sort of "Not an idiot" list.
Yea, but the idiot list is pretty much the list of accounts they've phished :v:

They're bots and the guy who is running them most likely got tons of accounts, it won't matter much to him if one of them gets banned. Content:
21:55 - Liquid Fire: hi 21:55 - lilcornchip: hey 21:55 - lilcornchip: how are you 21:55 - Liquid Fire: I'm good 21:55 - Liquid Fire: what aobut you? 21:56 - lilcornchip: good as well 21:56 - lilcornchip: so i saw your outpost on you wanting to buy the angel of death 21:56 - lilcornchip: i found one yesterday 21:56 - Liquid Fire: could you link me to my trade? 21:56 - lilcornchip: ok 21:57 - lilcornchip: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/16542675 21:57 - lilcornchip: i know it said dont add you but i though it might be convienent 21:57 - Liquid Fire: uh 21:57 - Liquid Fire: dude 21:57 - Liquid Fire: that trade is closed and 5 months old
God, the steam servers are so fucked right now. I can't trade without it being hella laggy and failing.

CTRL + Enter makes a new line so it doesn't screw up character placements.
"This post was hidden by the trade owner" Can you tell us what the comment was?
Clicking on it shows... Why would anyone buy these for a refined if they can get the weapon itself for 1 ref?
