That "as soon as possible" is giving me hope given the drastic decisions the tf team sometimes makes but fuck if that message didnt kill the mood

Honesty I have always been in positive spirits with the TF Team but my patience has really met its end this week The fact that we have to wait longer than one entire year for this stupid update just for the game to finally be interesting again always annoyed me but the fact that we might have to wait 3 weeks [I]longer[/I] is just killing it for me, at this point it's not even excusable. like ive reached the point where id be fine with no workshop additions whatsoever if it means the Update is going to come 2 weeks earlier, im just done with my patience I know this is stupid and ive set myself up for this disappointment but around 300 or so people have done the same yesterday - I really dont wanna wait even longer Here is hoping for next week, even though fucking unrealistic atleast give us the emails as like a second prize

There's already 4 flare guns and 2 shared shotguns, but how much more can you do with a new flare gun or a new shotgun without it being more of the same? And there's also 7 unique melee weapons, with at least one being a straight upgrade to the fire axe.

I do think the TF team is passionate but I do believe Valve small size is a big issue. A game that has millions of players a month and probably makes tens of millions of dollars a year should probably have more than 16 people and 5-6 programmers working on it. And yeah come on Valve spend a few minutes to answer the VNN questions for us this week.

I'd like to see a flamethrower that gives you more control over the airblast, maybe something that amps it up like demo's stickies, and then you can hold and release it with greater power at the cost of more ammo consumption or something like that. It shouldn't be able to affect invuln targets tho that would be op. Moreover, maybe a weapon that makes the airblast do a little damage? Burning dmg maybe? But it can't blow fire constantly... So there will be a generation of w+m2's? How about, [B]The Airblast Jumper![/B], idk just a thought. Airblast can be a fun utility and I would really like to see more newbers getting into it.

Hopefully the existing flamethrowers will feel brand new due to changes to flame particles and airblast behavior.

Besides heavy balancing, it's basically the one thing I want out of the update. The Flamethrower should have a higher skill ceiling. It should require you to aim and practice, but not require you to load a listen server and use tf_debug_flamethrower 1 just to learn how the aiming works. Side note, the Flamethrower should also be significantly more powerful.
Making the Flamethrower hitscan would be an easy fix for a lot of the issues with flames, though I wonder if they'll continue trying to make it work with projectiles
