The TF2 economy is already beyond repair compared to what it used to be.
i would disagree, i mean anything under a key is but keys have stayed the same value, unusual trading aside from taunt is still very stable and profitable [editline]10th July 2017[/editline]
Source?
well its his first post, so id agree in saying he's probably new
today confirmed as not "today" part 2
The TF2 economy is already beyond repair compared to what it used to be.
What are you talking about? Its always been cut-throaty. The only thing that's really changed is metal, buds, and scrapbanking.
What evidence?
1)Jungle Update blog post, almost a month passed. 2)Balance Changes blog post, 21 days passed, they implied there's more information coming. 3)Classic Summer Update Time (say what you will about Valve following schedules, that didn't stop them rushing MyM, and in August many will get more busy so Valve will miss the opportunity of more players) 4)VNN emails containing a question "Late June or Early July?" 5)Crunch time. 6)Weird stuff going on with Valve servers. 7)Some bugfixes that they promised will come out in the next update. 8)Why would it NOT be this month? We all were hyped previous week, and nothing changed that would mean that there wouldn't be at least a blog post or something toweek.

Everyone and their fucking mother has a shitty low-effort bot now. I mean yeah there's less toxicity because you're not dealing with assholes, and prices are lower because people are battling for the first entry in the classified ads on backpack, but you get the idea. I also completely dislike the entire "trader main" phenomenon but I guess it can't be helped.
I wonder how many (if any at all) suggestions valve will implement from "From Pyro With Love", they mentioned it in relation to the pyro update a while ago but I'm curious as to what they plan on doing with all the info provided to them about pyro and the game engine and how it affects his weapons and mechanics.\ They might redo the entire way flames work after [sp]after a FUCKING DECADE.[/sp]
I would be surprised if nothing from From Pyro With Love was implemented. I've seen a few people suggest changing the flamethrower to hitscan but how would a hitscan flame thrower work? would it be like a cone of effect? What happens when you swing the flame around?
I was thinking about the update the other day and realized that the burnt diary and (IIRC) some sort of capacitor (maybe?) weren't ever properly explained in the pyro update. They were the only things that were retained, but the use of which wasn't actually explained. Is there a chance that the new update might actually use these things?

That's its use now, it casts magic spells like the Spellbook Magazine. The Barely-Melted Capacitor, on the other hand, has stayed as an equippable but invisible cosmetic item, since it was used for the MVM ARG. That might have been all they've planned to use it for.
I've seen a few people suggest changing the flamethrower to hitscan but how would a hitscan flame thrower work? would it be like a cone of effect? What happens when you swing the flame around?
Here's how I imagine a hitscan flamethrower works - similar cone and fire rate to the minigun's, but with a 100% damage falloff that begins where the flamethrower's flame particle effect (is supposed to) end. In this way all flamethrowers would operate similar to how the Phlogistinator's particle effect APPEARS to behave. I've heard numerous testimonies from players who like the phlog's particle effect enough for them to genuinely believe that it is more accurate without knowing the actual mechanics of flame particles. I'm sure there's an argument to be made against a hitscan flamethrower, but I feel like a change of this nature would be a reasonable way to give flamers more consistency without upsetting the entire flamethrower concept. All that being said, I'm just a layman and I'm sure Valve already has something better cooked up for us. EDIT: also update when
I would gladly sacrifice my soul to have a way to get it (the iron curtain itself) back, given I deleted it in my f2p days because I was missing inventory space and couldn't actually get premium at the time.
Generally announcements and blog entries for multi-day updates are posted by now, but it's Valve, so you never know.
We managed to get a Meat your Match announcement the day before the update, so if it was to come out this week, we'd have the announcement tonight/tomorrow. Also, remember that APPARENTLY mapper/model creators are told about the release of an update weeks before (if their creations get through). As far as I know, nothing's been said to them so far, so I'm gonna go ahead and expect mid July/early August for the release.
The mutated bread hand puppet just got an trailer https://valvestore.welovefine.com/feature/breadmonster-216.html
The mutated bread hand puppet just got an trailer https://valvestore.welovefine.com/feature/breadmonster-216.html
Holy frick. That video warms my heart.
mapper/model creators are told about the release of an update weeks before
didn't the person who said that also said it could be as early as 3 days before an update also they might not be able to disclose that information any more.
Something I meant to add to my previous post, I feel that the reason the community overhypes updates is because there isnt any communication. Rumours start to form, which then since nobody confirms/denies, people hype over the possibilities.
also they might not be able to disclose that information any more.
Wouldn't some people end up doing it anyway?

I don't think they would want to say something like "Update will release in August" 5)There is indication, HiGPS was told TF Team is extremely busy and cannot really accept any interviews. Furthermore, they released a patch in the weekend recently. They work in weekends when they are in crunch time, before the update. 6)The Pyroland servers were debunked, not the glitchy Valve servers behavior, them getting down for no reason in previous Sunday and booting people out of servers. It would still mean however that update is close: Pyroland servers come about two months before Major Updates, and about two months passed now. 7)There were. They definitely could release a minor update, but there's a patch drought happening now for no reason, it could only be attributed to the upcoming Major Update.

I think something will happen today. Just a hunch.

The mere existence of World 11 Servers, even though for like 1-2 months now, implies the Update is close, since they are related to the Update. 7) can be found in various thread, specifically the general chat, a user submited a bug to be fixed, got a response from eric saying theyll fix the bug in "one of the updates" - and so far nothing happened. If they were planning to release another teeny tiny update before the update, it wouldve been out long ago.

Doing that would spoil what maps are getting added and I'm sure they would rather the community be surprised.
