What was this server ip address? that tells a lot from the server itself. Things like if you "search games on this address", there propably will be that alone or few others, not 20+ servers that valve ip's usually run on different ports. You can also traceroute the ip to see where it is.

This and correct me if I'm wrong but the IP could also verify if the server is actually in Frankfurt, Germany. It would help zero in on the legitimacy of the server, not by much but at least enough to see if we can cross out "Blatant Troll who Didn't Put Effort into their Ruse" and leave us with "Real" and "Someone who at Least Did Their Homework Before Yanking our Chain."

I don't see any reason valve would leave an open entry test server, much less a maze one that isn't actually relevant to mm at all. Valve is also a little more complex than your average homebrew mapmaker so they generally compile their maps with unique names rather than "test".

I respect that you're asking rather than saying its potentially true but come now this has fake written all over it. You of all people should be able to identify that, I would hope.
