As if identifying weapons wasn't bad enough. The last thing we need is the inability to tell a Scottish Resistance from a stock sticky, or a Back Burner from a stock Flame Thrower.

I thought they only confirmed the campaign. I thought Jill had mentioned at some point that they would like to work on non stock skins but they didn'th ave a good system for it yet.
Well I meant, what types of skins are you all looking forward too?
I want skins that look like actual gun designs, think of the AWP Phobos, the m4a1 Flashback, or the FUBAR sawed off from CSGO.
I don't think we want anymore "map texture/pattern as a skin" designs.
Well I'd expect similar sort of quality to Tough Break's skins, or even better.
Gun Mettle started the skin trend for TF2, and honestly the majority of those skins falls into that "I can tell it's a repeated texture" category, which doesn't look all that great.
There were a few good ones but majority being meh isn't a good thing.
Tough Break worked on that and made more skins which genuinely look like unique skins, in addition adding the sorta stuff people want to see from skins.
For example one of the skins (Boneyard) actually looks better the more worn it is, and others aren't effected at all by wear (see the smexy top-shelf knife) in addition to more uniquely designed skins instead of repeated textures!
More likely jungle will be just that, an improvement over past additions in skins. Of course you will still have that garbage tier of boring skins compared to the rare, but that's how you make the higher tier more desirable.
A loose cannon with the cannonballs or double donk icon all over it. Plz.

An entire case dedicated to stickers on weapons, and I'd guess it would be pyro themed (because rainbows, candy, etc) is that what you're saying?

That's not exactly what I meant but something like that would be much better.
But overall, I just want something different, I don't want all the skins to be restrictevly jungle themed, like a jungle collection is fine, but we need other different things too.
Well, I'll see you guys next week I suppose.
it's not coming this month, guys. no way in hell are they going to ship a major update with a single week after to monitor for the inevitable bugs and such before they move offices.

I'm not the one making broad claims about things that are still up in the air. The update might come out this month, might not.
not that I want this to happen but wasn't there a dude like ten pages back that said he'd hang himself if it wasn't this week
or maybe shit his own pants or something
edit: there better be otherwise I sure do look like a psychopath

hold on a second...
you're making it sound like they're moving across the country.
I'm just saying, they move offices in 10 days. that process is sure to take a lot of work. even if it's just a few days, that's kinda gonna get in the way of releasing or maintaining a major update. major updates usually have 1-2 week periods after their initial releases where there's a lot of maintenance/bugfix patches and the such- do you really think the update they're calling one of their biggest ever isn't going to need that kind of post-release care?

I didn't think our resident famous youtuber would stoop so low

MOVING IS NOT HARD
BESIDES
THE TF TEAM IS SO SMALL THEY COULD JUST HOST A LAN PARTY
I didn't think our resident famous youtuber would stoop so low
This is facepunch. A lot of famous people have stooped very low, probably to pick their dignity back up afterwards.
Tommorow is gonna be huge !
Jesus fuck, there is a special place in hell for shit like that.
You literally gave me heart palpitations
Tommorow is gonna be huge !
I actually thought this was legit for a second.

As someone whose company moved last year I'm telling you guys the move is likely going to have very little impact on the update. A moving company is going to do the vast majority of the work and the Valve IT people may already even have their internal network setup at the new place. The team will likely go to work at the old place one day and the next come to work at the new place.
