I'm a pretty optimistic person, I want this update to ship in a good state and know the size of TF2 team isn't huge but I'm really starting to wonder what's going on and I'm becoming a little disappointing by the lack of the update. Halloween 2016 was basically a rehash of 2015 so I can't imagine it required a ton of work, Christmas 2016 was a regular patch and we've gotten around a dozen regular patches in 2017. I'm honestly starting to get a little depressed and wonder what's going on. Hopefully we'll at least get the VNN questions answered this week.

I honestly don't see the hype anymore, the best way is to adapt a style of "forget about it until you read about it happening then go play it" That way, if the update is shit then you aren't feeling shit because you waited so long. it's just a "hey that sucks" [editline]13th July 2017[/editline] I love the changelog blog post though. really good. let's hope theres no ying for that yang though.

Man, I feel bad for the poor bastards who are getting hyped in the confusion over the Mayann countdown. I know some people are trying to run damage control but some people still don't get it.

I think that countdown timer was a bad choice in these times. Everyone is waiting for the update, and the average player only knows that there is something jungle-typed coming. Of course they get confused by a countdown with no words other than Mayann.
