valve pulling an mvm tour for the pyro update would be the most unexpected thing ever and i love the sound of it

The most I could see from it is a modification of how it builds uber or a reduction in uber rate.
Like;[B] - Uber charges based on damage taken from patients, not by healing rate.[/B]
Spammed resistances becomes unfun for people to fight against, and in a low population scenario it's hard to counter it when its weaknesses is being ganged up on or melee.
It's only difficult when your teammates treat medics like anybody else, and not as a massive threat.

They likely will. It's banned by all leagues via the Global 6v6 whitelist because it's cheap power for extremely low risk. Pushing a button to reduce the damage output of half the enemy team against you and your patient to 1/4th of usual, AND being ready to do so every 25% uber is stupid.
If valve fixes the weapons to not be ass, then we'll unban them. Its reasonable to think they'll get changed in the pyro update, as they said they didn't want banned unlocks.

I do wonder if the Update will bring weapons for more classes than just Pyro.
I mean technically we already have two new weapons: The new Darwin's Danger Shield alongside the new Panic Attack. However I mean completely original new weapons.

the stock pistol was like this on release, so people would just use scripts or bind fire to the scroll wheel to turn it into a full-auto machine gun

Aren't there unused revolver animations for the Engineer? How long have those been in the game?

On the other hand, pistol functioning basicly like a SMG by default is weird. Everyone is used to it by now, and it will never be changed, but i think that pistols should never autofire at button hold. Or they should at least fire at slower pace than weapon speed cap is, to retain button mashing aspect.
imagine if we get new weapons that will require balancing that they'll get 4-5 years later

This is the SFM Shot of the part 2 page of Gun Mettle. The bottom right corner has the Afterburner nuzzle poking out of that weapon pile.
Also, two cosmetic items from the Airborne Arsonist (the workshop set that the Afterburner is from) have been added into the game: the Bone Dome and the Air Raider.
I believe that Eric confirmed that the Afterburner accidentally was put in the Gun Mettle picture, and that they were testing it as a new weapon, but he also said that it's not guaranteed that it would be added.

This would be absurdly powerful in most situations. The stock pistol is already no slouch when spammed at oncoming attackers from a distance, given that you have fortified a position that people need to push into. Having a massive ammo reserve and the ability to replenish it whenever you even begin to eat into it via Dispenser is too powerful, even if the spread was comparatively awful compared to a single pistol.
I'd like it if they did something similar to the Widowmaker's added damage while enemy is under sentry fire, such as a slight boost to his secondary when teammates are gathered around the Dispenser, but therein rises a problem of having a hurt Backscratcher Pyro sitting around giving an extended boost period while providing all the spychecking utility a nest could want. Thinking about it, given the interweaving teamwork nature of how the Engineer and Medic work, I'm not surprised they haven't been granted many new toys over the years.

I've seen Dane suggest a pistol for Engineer that allows for faster movement speed that uses metal when right clicking while it's equipped. I think it's an inter sting idea but it would need a stat that's something like "-25% metal from pickups or dispensers when less than 175 metal" so you can't just pick up a full ammo pack to negate the metal loss.

It all depends on situation. You're never going to be a team-levelling threat with two pistols, but in a casual setting where people are unorganised and the Engineer reigns supreme in being a roadblock personified, more close and mid-range combat effectiveness is the last thing he should probably get.
I just lost 5 ref because I keep buying shit I don't really need like a Strange Brigade Helm and then quickselling it back when I want something else. Damn it Valve just fucking do something so I can direct my money into your pockets instead of into other traders'.

Alrighty,we might be close to the release of this update (if it actually comes this/next week). Any final thoughts or hopes? I have two hopes and those hopes are that it doesn't release in august and that it has good skins (not just map textures planted on weapons)
I think the only reason an MVM tour would be bad is it would distract from the new comp. Other than that It would be awesome.
