Normally, if the taunt videos do not come out by Wednesday its more likely that this week is not the week unfortunately. Although, this is not always the case for the big updates of the year we normally do get those unlisted videos. I hope the update is soon but I fear it still might have a bit of time before the update comes out.

For the ones wondering, I havent gotten a reply yet from the "right" peeps. Not that I'm expecting it, but I dont believe they didnt know about it prior the email. Either way... Since this is going to be our last MUS thread I say we honor it by letting the last few posts actually be about the Jungle Update - we only have 500~ left. Don't wanna waste them. General chat is our new home now. Let the dog actually get to play with the toy he wanted before he gets put down by the vets.

Bringing back Spy vs Engie when, for the most part, it's been assumed that was rolled into Gun Mettle and the WAR was given to Heavy vs Pyro instead. The grand grand [I]grand[/I] assumption that the Heavy Update is going to come out a week later? Come on.

So what was your favorite thing to speculate about? Mine was maps I liked the MYM map speculation, but the map selected were kinda lackluster. I hope we get some good maps this time! Or maybe even Cactus Canyon!

I wonder if mvm contracts could have been a thing. That'd be cool.

Always enjoyed reading about the tips valve gave for pre-update readiness, which is nice, since the updates usually break something.

I loved seeing everyone get hyped about the smallest things even if they were irrelevant to an update. It's hard not to get sucked up in the stupid hype and I kinda love it, it means there's a good number of people who really care about this game and it's future.

So instead of doubling down on the rules and force this thread to slow down, we're just gonna kill it entirely? Now instead of digging through MUS's shitposts trying to keep up with TF2 rumors and news, we'll need to dig through that PLUS general topics. Might as well only have 1 mega-thread like Dota 2 and CS:GO. If we ever go that way, please at least keep the Emporium in a separate thread.

I loved when the Post and Viewer count skyrocketed for the thread, because I would have know something went down and rushed immediately to check out the blog.

it's a shame that none of the mods can be bothered with babysitting this thread but i don't blame them when people keep shitting it up with offtopic posts about their everyday life and whatever the hell some of you cook up I still remember the hype around pyromania and I miss those days sorely, and don't get me started on the mann vs machine speculation. I miss staying up all night on weekdays reading through this thread and wondering what the fuck a tobor was.

This was probably the most reputable place to find news about TF2 anyway, granted some might disagree but at least on here you don't have to sift through the cesspool of shitty memes to find anything significant like R/tf2.

Of course those aren't nearly as commonplace now, but it was basically a flash-in-the-pan news feed with all relevant discussion quarantined into that singular thread before dying off. I can reasonably see that sort of containment working when things actually do happen.

For people so sentimental over MUS you sure do like to eat through the final thread's postcount with your woes. I think valve would get a huge leg-up on this updates release if they kicked it off with a minor ARG. Something to garner public attention leading to release, knowing it will be the size of 2-3 major updates logically it makes sense to have some mechanically engineered hype created. Something like releasing the jungle short and having it lead people down a path that ends with the announcement of the update itself. I know it's not current team's style to do that sort of thing, but one can dream.

what if there has been an ARG for the last couple weeks but we've all been too busy speculating to notice
