If anything, just gimme that sweet mantread change. I NEED to try that out
The fact that the blog is going down is weird. It's a bit of a stretch, but I suppose it could mean that they could be nearly finished with work to the point where they can start messing with the blog. Did it go down for MyM or Tough Break?
I remember vividly that the hours leading up to MyM Day 2 the whole blog broke, the "Updates since release" counter went to "000" and you couldn't view any blog posts.
Someone updated wordpress, thats all it takes for it to go down for few moments. Stop overreacting, its weekend. Nothing ever happens during that which would lead to update.

How do you know? Not that I doubt it, genuine question.
They kinda stopped the whole promotional items thing. Besides, SR3 was published by THQ, which is long gone.
SRIV also came with promos, which was released after deep silver bought Volition, also don't forget the Disgaea promo, and the batman stuff before it
EDIT: I phrased that wrong, the TF2 promos were in SR IV, not SR IV items in TF2

Last WP update was quite a while ago as far as i know
Read this.
Instead of further fuelling the fire and attacking the people who provide us a service I would like to express my concerns about possibly axing the TF2 section:
The Team Fortress 2 section has been a starting point for a lot of users into communities, source, gmod, modding and well, gaming in general.
Over it's lifetime it has spawned TF2 modding, which got noticed by valve and implemented into the game. The TF2 section has been actively read by valve members over the years, taking note of feedback and ideas for the game.
The section has directly influenced updates, as well as spawning two officially picked up community updates. Not to mention being host to several competitions.
Due to this large contribution for TF2's life cycle, garry is an option on the TF2 workshop to give a small percentage of the profits to for hosting the TF2 section on facepunch for all these years.
Losing the TF2 section for modding alone could actually have an impact on the future of TF2.
Yes, TF2 has sadly been on the decline this past year and fans have been getting desperate for any information and updates. But as soon as that update hits and the TF2 section ain't around for users to flood towards, it could be detrimental for both facepunch and TF2.
The actions of a few users not being able to follow simple directions is inexcusible, but don't let a large part of TF2 and it's communities suffer because of it.
Merging all Valve's games to a single section is a solution that could benefit the Dota 2, and Counter Strike communities as well. Exploring this option and communicating it in advance would be nice. Axing it would be an unwise move.
Feel like we should all get on the same page, MUS by name is dead right here and now.
Future Speculation discussion only has moved to General Chat, was never our intention to stop speculation itself, but to remove what became a redundant chat thread and stop shitposts.

A compromise thread was on the table, but due to lack of tf2 updates and the nature of how shitposters came and went, it was decided it'd be much better to just use the neglected TF2 chat thread for it all.
Discuss this or ask bout it here

Nothing was lost in the end of it except for a long standing thread series that should have been dead a long while back anyway. To the fans this kinda sucks, but you'll adapt.
