Summer Update 2013 July 10 - Steam Sale July 11-July 23
Love and War June 18 - Steam Sale June 19-June 30
During, not before. I don't think it's likely it will happen in the next couple of days because of the Jungle Update blog post saying that there was still time to get maps in.
Yes but remember that we haven't even gotten the balance blogpost yet, which they would likely give us around a week after to critique on it before the update hits
Yup, I just wanted to show that they did do it twice
Weren't we told that an interiview between the developers and Vnn will be conducted before the update. I'm just thinking here but wouldn't the likelyhood of it being tomorrow, be very low if we haven't heard anything about the results of the interview.
I have seen Vnn make videos really quickly for example about Jill's post of skin texture loading so I don't believe he will take a long time to post results or at least post the interview results on a forum which leads me to believe the interview has yet to be done. So I dont think the update will be tomorrow based off this.
Besides, the developers specifically stated they will post the blog post in advance of the update for community feedback so it might be more than just a day in advance compared to other past updates.

I don't think anyone's expecting the update anytime soon, just the blog post.
Also, please punctuate and hit enter a bit. That paragraph was painful to parse.

Just been reading a lot of speculation specifically on the major update release date and IF the blog post will occur. Unless I miss read?
I believe the blog post is happening, if I remember correctly, VNN sent out an E-mail recently and they replied with "Yes, the blog post is still happening." I could be wrong, but I believe that's what happened.

I thought the Questions are gonna be answered after the update hit
The event [Heavy vs. Pyro] started on July 7th, and concluded on August 14th 11:59 PM.
Update probably going to drop sometime around this time frame. At least that's my guess. Hopefully it's sooner.
The laat update aparently killed my game's performance. My fps fluctuates between zero and 120 at random intervals on servers with low ping and good connection, wich has made it impossible to play in the last two weeks.
Valve has never released a major update during the Summer Sale, I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything earlier than July 6th, as Bluth said.
They also never skipped a Major Update and planned to release a Balancing Blog Post.
Hey, did overwatch just get it's moonbase map before we did

They beefed two major updates last year for whatever this jungle thing is going to be. Its entirely possible.

That's my point. Anything is possible in the current timeline.
Apparently Zenomite seems to read Facepunch.
Not only he mentioned our crits on melees argument, but he also took (Contra's?) idea of having alt-fire healing bolts on all syringe guns.
^ In his recent video.
Balance blog post is out!
Ambassador
Players that are head-shot from across the map are expecting to see a Sniper in their death-cam, but they sometimes see (more often that we'd like) a Spy with a revolver
Goal: Reduce the effective combat range to something more reasonable and expected with the Spy
Changes:
First-shots are no longer perfectly accurate. Bullet-spread is instead reduced by 50%. This makes head shots less reliable at long range, while still very viable at close and medium-range.
Like yeah, the Ambassador was probably too powerful, but not giving it perfect accuracy sounds like it'll kill the weapon.
Amby changes (nerf?)
Oh boy.
Dead Ringer changes: Ammo kits and dispensers no longer refill the Spy's cloak meter
Ambassador changes: First-shots are no longer perfectly accurate. Bullet-spread is instead reduced by 50%. This makes head shots less reliable at long range, while still very viable at close and medium-range.
Crit-A-Cola changes: Added: Each attack while active adds Marked-For-Death debuff for 5 seconds (does not stack)
Removed: Marked-For-Death when effect expires
Removed: +25% move speed bonus
Removed: +10% damage taken penalty
Sandman changes:
Long-range ball impacts no longer remove the victim's ability to fire their weapon (but the victim is still slowed)
We've updated achievements that were looking for disarmed players
Max range balls now do 50% increased damage (from a base of 15)
The flight time required to trigger the "max" effect has been reduced by 20%
Ball regeneration time reduced to 10 seconds (from 15)

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Holy fuck some of these changes are dumb.
Like this for example:
Gloves of Running Urgently
Speed (lack-of) is used to balance the Heavy's high health, over-heal and damage output. While we still believe it's OK to have a class of items that increases Heavy's movement speed, players have been able to easily mitigate the existing negatives.
Changes:
Added: Max-health is drained while item is active (-10/sec), and regenerated while holstered
Health will regenerate only the amount drained while active - minus any damage taken during that time
Each time the gloves are deployed, the drain rate is accelerated for a brief period of time
Removed: Marked-For-Death effect while active
Removed: 25% damage penalty
Vita-Saw
Ubercharge on death is too valuable of an effect to be passive
Goal: Change the weapon in a way that requires skill and risk in order to gain this effect
Changes:
Added "Organs" collecting concept (... you know, hit someone with a saw, and out pops a vital organ which you then take, and hold). Each hit with the Vita-Saw harvests the victim's organs (shown on the HUD).
Added: On-death, preserve 15% ubercharge per Organ harvested. This effect caps at 60%."
ITS JUST A BETTER UBERSAW.
Holy fuck some of these changes are dumb.
That is why we get to see them now so they can know which ones to change (hopefully).

this is the best day of my life
Honestly, the only change I don't agree with is the Ambassador. The first shot not being perfewctly accurate goes against how all the other revolvers work and sounds like it would eb frustrating to use. Like if you lined up the perfect headshot but it just missed because of the extra spread. If they're going to nerf it they should change something else about it.
I really like the Scout nerfs and Heavy buffs, though, they're both sorely needed.

No, I doesn't say you get the ubercharge from the hits, only makes keep the ubercharge you previously charged after death. So it's not like the ubersaw which gives you charge directly. Different mechanics.
I literally suggested the health-drain thing on the GRU, maybe it will actually be unbanned in 6s now!
The Panic Attack revamp is one of my favorites, along with the Pocket Pistol. Really glad that Valve did this.
Another thing:
Judging by the "flare pyro" buff sniper got on the danger shield, I bet that flare gun leak is real.
This is the best balance patch they've ever done. God I'm so happy. So, I guess we can expect the update right after the sale now?
