Why have a spy who has a chance of getting a pick most likely in exchange for his life be used over a sniper who can instakill any class that walks into his field of view without having to put himself in any risk whatsoever? The very fews things spy can do that other classes cant is typically already done by basic communication and teamwork, you dont need a spy to call out anyones health because your damage dealers should be calling out when anyone is low anyway. Checking for uber isnt a big deal because in a competitive environment counting uber should be second nature. I know a medic main who just keeps a timer bound to a macro that lets him know in general when the medic has uber, all he has to do is press a bind every time he sees the enemy medic die.

You could even give it a new downside to try and emphasize that, like losing your disguise when you cloak, or a health penalty or something.[/QUOTE] if YER made it so you dont flicker while colliding with players when cloaked and increased cloak duration, you'd actually be able to get in and use the damn thing I'd scrap the new design and just make it buff cloak duration and remove flicker. paired with the l'etranger you suddenly have a really powerful combo that makes sense since it's a fucking item set

So people actually have a reason to use that item.

Then you can make the cloak just a lot quieter, not completely silent.
I'm no expert on TF2's mechanics (despite all the hours I've sunk into it), but I feel like Spy needs a buff or revamp of some kind, especially if they want to make TF2 a thing in the eSports scene. The fact of the matter is, the game's been around for 10~ years. That's basically a decade of people learning the ins and outs of how each class works. One of the first things you learn to do as a new player is Spy-Check; there's no friendly fire, so there's literally no reason to not just shoot everyone you see, just on the off-chance they're a Spy. If you see a teammate lagging behind with their primary out? Spy. Teammate not taunting or using voice chat? Spy. Hell, teammate where you didn't see a teammate 30 seconds ago? Might be a Spy, may as well shoot them to be safe. You can have a class that's high risk/high reward, but a decade of people getting used to his tricks means that there are plenty of other classes who can do Spy's job (scoring picks, dealing with Engies, etc.) in a way that's a lot safer/more conducive to team play.
I'm not sure if this has been brought up yet, but how many days do you think this update is going to be? The most likely answer is 2, for Jungle and Pyro respectively, but do you think they're going to bundle it all in 1 day or add more stuff we don't know about?

Three day updates have always been great, and I can totally imagine Page A being about the SFM and taunts/other improvements Page B being about Jungle and C being about Pyro.
Not sure if this was mentioned, but promo-granting games on the steam summer sale are giving genuine items when purchased during it. This includes disgea PC, which means this is your second chance at a genuine prinny knife etc. if you missed it (they're still not tradable, a year later)

Reddit says it worked on other games, gunpoint, total war, etc. Although probably only games that are on sale during this years sale, and have genuine TF2 promos. No Max's head, sadly, that was the first thing tried.
gunpoint always gives the hat. I bought it over a year after the promo was added and still got it.

I find a little odd that no one talks about the third degree. The only weapon in the game which has no downside whatsoever. Even weapons that apparently have no downside like the bonk or the razorback, they take away your secondary slot. But with the third degree? Nope, is just the default Axe with an extra bonus. And, yeah, the weapon is terrible, but since they are reworking weapons this heavily, I think this might be a good chance to do something about it.

We've got loads of content, but all of it was an utter mess. Replay System barely worked, most if not all of the weapons had weird/terrible/placeholder attributes (Such as the Third Degree). There were also lots of problems with models and animations (remember how Valve weapons in the Uber Update didn't have bones until the very 2014?) The newer TF2 team have spent three years already just trying to fix the mess made in a span of a year. Now that I don't care much about the game I wouldn't mind Uber-esque Update with a bunch of weirdass weapons which would completely destroy the flow of the game, but now that they're taking a much more careful and clean approach at the updates, we're probably not going to see any new weapons besides Pyro/Heavy ones.

With some items and paints the TF2 artstyle's trademark color scheme is jacked up, with some cosmetics silhouettes are pretty fucked, and some of the weapons and cosmetics are much, MUCH more detailed than the others. Not to count stuff like Private Eye that has incredibly detailed textures.

Unless it's only happens on the enemies point of view... Then again, I probably didn't check the corpse all that often as I want to capitalize on being invisible and not wasting the opportunity.

Since the razorback can now regenerate every 30 seconds, I think the caber should regenerate as well. That would compensate for how nerfed into oblivion it was.
