I'm sure they can work from home.
They're probably working the weekends to get the update ready.
Or they only work the weekends.
From what I've been told, they are under a huge workload. So this may be crunch time.

Why stop at double? Why not TRIPLE?
TO THE MOON
Despite the crunch, I hope they take into consideration prioritizing some improvements over the anti-cheat.
I've run into the same player now several times with his 5 man "bot" army. It's to the point where you can have simpleminded bots follow you around in the map with spinbots, or medics healing you.
And although that sounds bad, it's the 6 man stack of hackers that make it the worst considering you can't vote kick them off. Rather, they can vote kick you off if you don't have 5 friends of your own on the team.

At this point there's more profit in just providing an efficient effective service than there is in manipulating some dead games economy
sfuminator is still a great service to get cosmetics though.
geel is becoming the TF2 Mogul
In all seriousness though, I'm actually curious as to whether Valve is planning on adding a few more weapons that aren't for pyro along with the ones for the pack, or if it's only going to be the pyro pack.
We must break up the big scrapbanks.
We must break the big scrapbank
I knew this day would come, when the international TF2 (((scrap bankers))) would take over and create a one site government.
As long as geel9 doesn't go the way of the Bannon were in good hands.
Huh. If only this had happened before the runaway player-driven metal deflation efforts.
Speaking of metal: Will this Update will a metal sink?
As a prolific trader and armchair economist I predict this gross violation of antitrust laws will devastate the game because.... uh. Reasons.
Actually I've never cared one iota about the economy or trading, I just buy whatever's on the community market regardless of whether or not it's overpriced.
What do you think they'll change about Pyro? Would it be a complete change in playstyle or just flame hitboxes?
I personally believe they will make the flames extinguish the enemy, thus making the puff and sting nonexistent. That would reward actually going for long range hits with flares as intended (or not intended?)
Puff and shotgun would exist still, but IMO they will change the flamethrower in a way that it will deal more damage than that.
I'm looking forward as to how would the Degreaser affect the "new" Pyro. Because that's the primary source of the whole airblast stunlock situation.
More powerful? Useless to have?
tbh I hope they just remove most puff and sting/crit combo gimmicks and make pyro more of a support class
tbh I hope they just remove most puff and sting/crit combo gimmicks and make pyro more of a support class
Actual juggles are fine. Easy combos are not. Remove the fact that airblast robs you of all momentum before applying knockback and suddenly it ceases to be an issue. Force-a-Nature and Loose Cannon use the same logic for their knockback but they explicitly don't zero out the victim's momentum first.
Having juggles as a tool is nice, but it's not anything for a class to rely solely on.

any extra money i have to pay to buy something from the market vs trading i consider a worthwhile investment in to not having to talk to traders. im sure a lot of people in the trading scene are decent but holy shit the majority are downright unbearable

I want Pyro's flamethrower to be powerful enough (and require enough skill) that he doesn't need silly combos

Yea but doing combos is fun

Combos that don't make you piss yourself in frustration about how unfair they are are okay.
Puff-sting on the other hand is just this shitty gimmick that's really annoying to play against but it works (hopefully not for long) so people do it. :/

Yeah, Puff-n-Sting pyros are just not fun to play against.
once pyro becomes an actual class, then they could rework airblast, they probably won't touch it until that happens because it's the only thing that makes Pyro somewhat playable, once that happens, combos shouldn't be nearly s annoying
I want Pyro's flamethrower to be powerful enough (and require enough skill) that he doesn't need silly combos
If they can make his flamethrower more reliable and less rng if it hits or not it'd be a huge step forward in that department. Nothings more irritating then to see you flaming down a medic or enemy, the fire is clearly going through the enemy your attacking yet not a single flame particle registers as a hit. You don't hear any hitsound at all.
Then they can take that dumb stun mechanic off airblast that was implemented shortly after pyro getting access to the reserve shooter ( was made to get rid of ground stalling people for free crits ). Which made combo's with the flaregun and reserve shooter a joke to get since it kills all momentum of the enemy player and often just pops them straight up in the air.

Next: Geel will acquire world domination.
In all seriousness, scrap.tf is a great site. I wonder what improvements geel will do with bp.tf

Heads up to those players who really want to play with the new weapons valve confirmed where coming in the pyro update. I highly recommend getting at least 1 of every unique weapons (Excluding promos) before the update comes out. When valve adds a new weapon, they add it to the crafting menu. When weapons were added to the 'love and war update' and the 'smissmass 2014' update, prices for crafting materials (weapons needed to make the new weapon) went up in price due to high demand. If you want to avoid the rush as well as avoid paying a rec for a weapon, I recommend you get at least one unique version of every weapon. Again only if you really care about the new weapons.
To Yelp you can auto buy missing weapons from scrap.tf

That is a good option. One thing I may add is scrap.tf doesnt auto buy unique weps that you already have in strange/ vintage quality. So any strange/vintage item you have, you may need to specifically buy a unique version of it. But yes I recommend auto buy from scrap.tf!
