The teamwork.tf twitter (https://twitter.com/TF2teamwork) posted a weird scramble of letters and numbers 803b2960d978be42bd1e2a619f59787509d0ad582bb0b3ab0e8f1d9ca6c943cd to be exact and followed that post with a post about how no one will use teamwork.tf after playing the new update. Truthfully, I don't know what teamwork.tf is, and/or who runs it, so if anyone could fill me in? Was it possibly someone on the Valve trip?
Teamwork.tf is sort of a news hub for TF2 They also run a quickplay like system you can use. The tweet doesn't really say if they're talking about the quickplay like system or the website itself (or really if they know anything about the update at all). I do think Valve should integrate the news page of the TF2 blog into the main menu along with the normal blog posts (and patch note posts) to better inform the community of TF2 events and news.

Hell if I know though. I was just curious if any of them were on that valve trip and may have been asked to tease the update. Or know something.

Truthfully, I don't know what teamwork.tf is, and/or who runs it, so if anyone could fill me in? Was it possibly someone on the Valve trip?
i don't think it really means anything. over the last few days, their twitter feed has been kinda wonky, posting tweets from the "news" feed of the tf2 website up to 2-3 months back in a span of a minute or two. none of the teamwork.tf team went to valve, only overall saxxy winners did if anything i think it's just a case of an automated twitter bot of the sort acting up a bit. they post tweets manually without a doubt, but they might have a service like this on the side incase they're busy and all. nothing to look into too much, really. i might be wrong, though.
and followed that post with a post about how no one will use teamwork.tf after playing the new update.
My guess is that he got a sneak peek of the new update and it included either an improved community server browser and/or a news feed, both of which are the primary uses of teamwork.tf Or maybe he's been cleaning his hats with a bit too much mercury. Who knows.
Truthfully, I don't know what teamwork.tf is, and/or who runs it, so if anyone could fill me in? Was it possibly someone on the Valve trip?
From what I can interpret, the dude's primary job is coding, data crawling, and/or working with APIs. He's pretty secretive about his personal life, but I don't believe his interests line up with someone who would work on an animated production.
Do you think we'll get a new ARG prior to the update? It's been awhile since we've had one
It looks like a git commit tag to me. Hell if I know though. I was just curious if any of them were on that valve trip and may have been asked to tease the update. Or know something.
BOY DO I HOPE IT'S AN ARG, if their post about "teamwork.tf being obsolete after the next update" isn't bs - this could mean they have some info and it's game time! Doesn't seem to be any of the possible hex/base64 magic, commit tag is plausible. I can't seem to find anything of use out of it though. It's not a directory on TF's website, it's not a beta code on steam, it's not a TF2 branch, it's not on their website, it's not a base16 string etc... Anyone wanna join me? :3
Teamwork.tf steamgroup says "RIP teamwork.tf 2015-2017" and that was posted january 15th. Maybe valve contacted him regarding the community browser topic at some point asking what should be in it etc. Maybe he committed the code to git.

Knew that since January? Boy, this could be it!
is tonight the night
The teamwork.tf twitter is partially managed by a member of the teamwork.tf team who is currently going through personal issues - these personal issues are likely bleeding over to the teamwork.tf twitter and shouldn't be taken as any signs of an ARG. The string of numbers and other recent issues with the teamwork.tf twitter is the result of the automated bot on their account messing up posts - and this can also be confirmed by the member who is going through rough times at the moment. Don't look too deep into it, it's not anything related to an update.
is tonight the night
Tomonth is the month, maybe toweek is the week but not sure. Especially in a public account, without any knowledge about why. [editline]4th June 2017[/editline]
not this week, next week everyone has finals, most schools end ~ june 15th
I'm not sure the tf team is too worried about finals. They also wouldn't wait on any finished content, especially since we're starved to begin with
That does make sense, but fruit for thought, I doubt he'd post about it. Especially in a public account, without any knowledge about why.
As it's a community-run group and server, it will likely be affected by people dominantly going towards the official Valve matchmaking once a major update is out to get contracts and such - dwindling down how many people would go on their servers and such. It's just a pessimistic view of the relatively recent community start-up that is affected by their personal situation at the moment. Let them recover and don't look into it much, honestly.

The main account posts about stuff on the TF Blog through a similar-if-not-the-same Bot. A few days ago, it hiccuped and posted all of the news tab from the last few months. The numbers are from the github stuff associated with the Bot.
Australium Scatterguns for one cent each anyone? Let's devalue all of Scout's items so he becomes the cheap harlot of the team.
Can we do it after I sell my Aussie Scattergun... Haven't used it since I sold my Sunbeams Woopie cap last Halloween and I pretty much exclusively use my Night Terror Scattergun. =P
if valve is actually doing an ARG, this must be a really groundbreaking update
All I know is that for the past 2 years, every unscheduled major update (Updates excluding Halloween and smissmass) has occurred the exact moment I am far way from my computer and wont be returning for some time. I don't know when the pyro update will be released since I am not going anywhere for the next 2 months. P.s I remember the very long wait for the Gun Mettle update and how it was released the day I left my house for the week. Soul crushing.
if valve is actually doing an ARG, this must be a really groundbreaking update
Why would some random tweet from a nonoffical source be an arg anyway?
Why would some random tweet from a nonoffical source be an arg anyway?
It's the MUS syndrome in effect, man. Also the fact the guy's been hinting at his website being rendered obsolete with the new update makes it sound as if he knew something.
if valve is actually doing an ARG, this must be a really groundbreaking update
I hope they do an ARG like the original pyro update, but I do not think that this tweet is a part of it unfortunatly. With that said, I hope we do get an arg in the nearby future.
neither were the people behind the spreadsheet. until they did.
Backpack.tf has always been capable of manipulating prices for self-benefit.
-Gone-
If there was an arg, I would be over the moon.
If there was an arg, I would be over the moon.
Unfortunately, I don't think we are getting asteroid this update or I too would be over the moon.
neither were the people behind the spreadsheet. until they did.
This just in: People don't do things until they eventually do or do not do things. Thanks Metaru!
