Any anti-piracy measure. If it's released, it's going to be pirated, the only people that are bothered by anti-piracy measures are the people that actually buy it.
Oh god I almost forgot about GameSpy. Worst piece of shit ever, worse then Punkbuster.
GameSpy is cool what.
Monthly fees
usually the community. Lots of games have small minded communities that are either in the fanboy/girl category or are in the nerd society, like that thing about the guy playing by the rules in city of heroes and getting death threats because they wanted to "LVL UP CHRCTRS FER TEH XP INSTED OF HAVN EPIC BTL". I think one of the most sane game communities is the valve community.

The community is not included when you buy a game, that is completely optional.
Monthly fees.
Also, how enemies in some RPGs level up as you do, which means no matter how hard you try, that boss is gonna be hard as FUCK.
Because Guitar Hero 3 is a real game.
It's also because it has songs on it, let alone the chords and shit. I bet you if you add all of the songs and chords and difficulties from GH3 onto FoF, it will become 5.1GB.
How is it not a real game?
Video game,
interactive video.
Adurrr
"Press X to not die."

Oh oh I hate this one too, can't remember what it is called though x(
[editline]12:57AM[/editline]
Especially hated it in Resident Evil >:(
"Press X to not die."
More like "Please tap X a metric fuckton in a half a second to live."
*tries and fails horribly*
"YOU DIED BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T PRESS X 2000 TIMES"
FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I like action sequences in games :(.
Also, people who are terrible at a game and end up on your team.
Auto-balance.
Button sequences in the latest Resident evil games.
Basically like this.

Oh, yep, that's definitely balanced it.
Having to fucking mash buttons when hijacking a vehicle in mercs 2.

Yeah I hate that as well
Enemy levels should be static or influenced by world conditions - the way to find high level enemies should be to look in bigger dungeons, and if you're just a level 1 then run away from all the big things until you can fight back.
I also hate teamkillers.
like in bf1942 or some CS 1.6 server with friendly fire on.
"Press X to not die."
Just like in Tomb Raider: Anniversary.
I hated Duke Nukem: Time to Kill's cheat code button mashing. You had like 1.5 or 2.5 seconds to mash in the code. And they where long ass codes.
I was taping my friend trying to get the codes in, and he took like 10 minutes trying to get the god mode cheat in.
They are called Quick time events. And they suck ass.

Yeah, a lot of girls play L4D, and they're the most annoying, irrational bunch of people you would ever play with. I'm not saying all girls that play L4D are like this, but since there are so few, they really stand out.
The people who play them. Over the last 10 years of gaming, I've noticed the vast majority of gamers are fucking idiots.

I have one on my list who can speak Spanish and only a little english, so when she gets wrecked as a survivor or as a zombie she cusses in spanish. She also speaks English as fast as an auctioneer, I can barely keep up.
