This game is fun, but I keep getting stomped by players online. I was never a good Starcraft player.
But it's fun never the less.

This is completely untrue.
Anyone who has tested in the beta and has played more than 10 matches will realize just how different the mechanics of the game are. There is much less emphasis on macro (as it is easier with automine and such, mainly just building base now), and much more emphasis on the battles. The battles aren't long epic, micro battles, more like short quick skirmishes. All the race match-ups have changed erratically, and it's not entirely untrue to say this feels like a true a sequel. Sure, there are returning units, but they are used different in their own way that's still true to the Starcraft Universe.
For example, I play a lot of Zerg, and most ZvZ match-ups in SC1 usually are ling battles, then skipping everything else and going to mutalisks. Well, in the SC2 beta thus far, anyone who has attempted mutalisks gets overrun by a combination of zerglings and roaches. Now all ZvZ battle comes down to who can macro up their lings and roaches faster, and who can micro them the most efficiently.
A lot has changed in Starcraft 2, it's not just a graphics update.

This most definitely isn't SC1 with better graphics. I can assure you SC2 is completely different from SC1 in every way.
a lot of Starcraft vets are hating SC2, with good reasons.
I played my first round of SC2 yesterday. Got absolutely raped. The son of a bitch blocked of his entrance with three buildings and kept a large amount of troops over there while he air raided my base. I was juggling defense and offense and lost.

One of those extra two invites could have been mine.
Unfortunately, the game feels really imbalanced right now. Chrono zealot rushes are almost unstoppable if pulled off right while Reapers are way too strong for how early their tech is.

It mostly comes down to the people who do nothing but live breath and play starcraft.
You are able to run replay's without having a beta account, my PC lags like SHIT though. Pretty cool.
This isn't like Starcraft. You might think so in the beginning when you are building zealots. But then a giant Nydus worm comes up inside your base and banelings swarms out.
Not like Starcraft 1.

Hey, I'm the one who doees that! But the future Protoss stuff is absolutely over priced. Zealot rushes or Zealot/Stalker attacks in the beginning is the easiest way to win.
